You are sitting next to the hospital bed where is Max lying in a coma. Your eyes hurt from crying

"It's all your fault. You should have tried harder" the voice in your mind says

*flashback*

You have Max behind your back and you are fighting with Vecna. But he is stronger. He uses his power and throws you away

When you hit the wall you fall to the floor. You don't have more power. You lose. You can't protect Max anymore

"Y/nn!" You hear scream

It is Max. Max is calling you and she is hoping that you will save her. You always save. But now you can't. Even if you want to you can't, your body is not moving. You are useless

You can just watch as Vecna is dragging Max away

"Noo Y/n..Pleasee" Max shouts

You are in pain. Blood is on your head and you have a big cut on your stomach. Even though it's not real Vecna can make it and it hurts like hell

You slowly get up and use all of the power that you have left against him. It stops him from completely killing Max but he starts so Max's bones are already broken

"You will never win" says Vecna before he vanishes

Everything around you collapses and you faint

"I could have done more Max...but. i tried. I really tried" you whisper

You are looking at Max and watching every moment of you two together in your mind. Every little detail

Then the door opens and El, Mike, and Will come inside. You stand up and go to them. El opens her arms for you and you collapse into them and she hugs you tight

When you pull out you see Lucas behind them. He looks at you as well

"It's all your fault..." He says

El looks at him and wants to say something but you are faster

"What?"

"You could have saved her" he says coldly killing you with his eyes

"I tried my best Lucas..why can't you see that?!" You say a little louder with tears in your eyes again

"Maybe your best wasn't good enough" he says and gets closer to you

"Lucas stop" Will says but he ignores him

"If it was, Max would be still here!!" He shouts at you

"Don't talk about her like that. She is not dead" you say now more sad and not angry anymore

"It's your fault that we are here. In hospital and praying that she will wake up" Lucas continues

You can't stop your tears from rolling down your cheeks. You push him aside and rush out of the hospital room. El goes immediately after you

"Y/N! Wait" El shouts and runs in the same direction as you

You eventually stop in the middle of the hall and turn around to face El. When she reaches you she ignores your tears and pulls you into her arms

Your head buries into her shoulder right away and your arms are wrapped around her

"It's all my f-fault. He is..r-right" you mumble into El's shoulder

"It's not your fault Y/n" she says and strokes your hair a few times

"I tried El. I really tried" you say
