Seb ran his fingers through his hair. His stress levels were through the roof. Oliver had thrown a tantrum after Heidi had beat him at Snakes and Ladders. He'd ignored Seb's orders to calm down, so Seb had taken him to his bedroom and read him the riot act.
Myah and Heidi kept questioning him about Barney, Sav wasn't back yet and he felt like he was going to have a nervous breakdown. He didn't know how he'd coped on his own all these years, he certainly didn't have the patience now.
He tried Savannah's number again but she still wasn't answering. Maybe he should call Charlie and ask him to tell her to come home. No. He didn't want her to think he was useless. He had Maddy and Antti, he'd cope.
"Seb, do you want a cup of tea?" Maddy asked him. He politely refused. Maddy went into the kitchen to make one for herself and Antti.
"You ok Seb?" Antti asked. Seb nodded but Antti knew him too well.
"You're stressed. Try to relax."
"I just wish Sav would answer her phone."
"You know what it's like mate, sometimes you get talking and lose track of time. It's no big deal."
"She's been gone three hours. She was only wearing shorts and a vest. She'll be soaked through."
"Mate, she's at Charlie's. It's the obvious answer." Seb grunted. He didn't know why he was getting so wound up. Savannah was entitled to spend time with her Grandad.
"If you're that worried call Charlie."
"I don't want her thinking I'm being clingy or over protective."
Antti rolled his eyes. In his opinion over protective was exactly what Seb was being. Then again, he knew he'd be the same if it was Maddy that was pregnant.
Seb glanced out of the window. The rain hadn't eased up in the slightest. Even if Sav did come back soon the girls would have to be disappointed. There was no way they were going to see Barney today.
He picked up his phone again and sent Savannah a text.
Seb: Where are you? Getting worried. Let me know you're ok as soon as you get this. Love you xx
Maddy came back with hers and Antti's drinks and put them on the table. "Bloody weather," she cursed. "It's always either too hot or too wet."
"Or too white in winter," Antti finished. They began talking about their favourite type of weather but Seb zoned out. All he could think of was Savannah. Maybe he was being overprotective. Who could blame him though? She'd been through so much and she was eighteen weeks pregnant. Well, she would be the following day.
He was so lost in thought that he didn't hear the gate buzzer going off. Antti nudged him.
"You gonna get that?"
"Get what?"
"The gate. Someone's buzzing."
The buzzer sounded again. Someone was getting impatient. It then occurred to him that maybe it was Savannah and Casey. She'd obviously forgot her remote for the gate. He stood up and went to open the gate, ready to tell her off for worrying him. He smiled to himself, no he wouldn't tell her off. As long as she was ok that was all that mattered.

Charlie Matthews had just sat down with a cup of tea when he heard a howling sound. It wasn't Rufus. He was sat curled up on the sofa snoring his head off. He took a sip of his drink. It must be Benji next door.
