Everything hurts, Pearl's whole damn body hurts like hell. Jace attacked her. She knows he didn't mean too. That girl did it. Ah, the twins! She got up to fast.
"Lay back down," Eleanor said.
"No, Eleanor your daughters," Pearl said.
"They're fine, the doctor gave them the cure," she said. "Thank god they didn't shift."
"I'm glad," she laid back down and began to cry.
"It will be alright, Jace will fight I know he will," Eleanor laid with her. Pearl rested her head on Eleanor's stomach, while she ran her hands through her hair. It felt nice to have a friend. She never had friends; the pack didn't like a female for an Alpha. They always expected a male, but her mother died before she could have any more kids.
"Thank you," she sobbed. "Your like my only friend who's female."
"Oh well, I'm happy to be your friend, we are family now," she said. "You're with Jace. Jace is family, so that makes us your family." Pearl smiled. "Now don't worry, I know Jace. He will fight for control, and he'll win."
"I know he will; I can help him," Pearl said. "That girl in the mask, it was that Kayla wasn't it?"
"Yes, she's evil," Eleanor said. "A criminal, a psychopath with no regrets or feeling. She will do things without remorse. She enjoys killing people."
"That's horrible," Pearl said. "Jace told me, one of your friends, Jenny got stabbed. Which caused her to lose her baby?"
"Yeah, it was hard for her, we thought she wouldn't make it," Eleanor said. "Her wounds were deep. But she got through it like the strong person she is. You'll meet her soon. Zach called them. Called our friends. And I'm sending my kids back to their grandparents. I won't risk their life."
"Oh," she smiled. She'll be meeting Jace's family. It will be great. She wishes he was here. But this will be to get him back. "Okay."
So Pearl couldn't leave the house. Therefore she couldn't look for Jace. Zach and some of her father man's went out to look for him. Over the few days, she became miserable. All Pearl wanted was Jace here with her. But she has to be strong.
"Pearl, be so kind as to tidy some the guest's rooms," her father said. "They'll be arriving in a bit."
Pearl went upstairs. Going around fixing rooms. It will be nice to have more people in the house. Jace, how she misses him. She hopes his fighting to control that beast.
'He will fight, and soon he'll be by our side once again,' Sal said. 'You'll see.'
Sal has been moody like she has been. And it's because they miss them.
By the time she finished. They had arrived. She wasn't in the mood to see anyone. But she wasn't about to be rude. Pearl went downstairs and stayed out of view as she heard laughter.
"Eleanor!" Pearl heard a girl screeched. "So good to see you!"
"Ah, Jenny to tight," Eleanor said.
"Oh sorry," she heard the girl Jenny giggle.
"Gareth," Pearl peeked from behind the wall. Eleanor was hugging a man.
"Eleanor," the man Gareth hugged her back. "Where's Zach?"
"Out looking for Jace," Eleanor said.
"So it's true, the jerk it is alive," a man walked in with a few others.
"Kaden, hush," the female next to him smacked him. "You should be happy. He's alive. It's what counts."
"Daisy, he was an asshole," Kaden said. "He deserves what he got."
