Chapter 6: Building a Town

Y/N's PoV

The next day has happened after that little incident in the Tavern when those two Adventurers attempted to pull off a scam by claiming the food was tainted. Looks like those two won't be showing their faces after I kicked their asses. I felt bad for making a mess in Mia's place; but she appreciated me for protecting one of her workers. It appears those two Adventurers were from a rival guild known as Black Iron Guild, claimed to be filled with those type of scum that cause trouble for everyone. As well as corruption in the guild.

Bella and I head over to the Guild today where I decided to speak with Harvey, mainly one on one conversation between us when I wanted to get some information about the Black Iron Guild. I'll fill him about what happened last night.

Harvey: "So, you've had a run with the Black Iron Guild last night. Those two adventurers pulled off some sort of scam in a tavern to try and gain money."

Y/N: "That is correct."

Harvey: "Somehow I had a bad feeling that you were going to run into them eventually. We're not allowed to talk about the Black Iron Guild due to tense relations... We don't want to bring major concerns to other adventurers. However, this will between us alright? Black Iron Guild has been around years ever since."

Y/N: "Who runs the show on Black Iron Guild."

Harvey: "Someone by the name of The Python, we lost records in his real name on what he used to be called. Heard he used to be a high-ranking staff member among the guild before I joined up, he was going to be next head of the guild until he got into disagreements with Ouranos and got caught up in a few scandals."

Y/N: "Whose Ouranos?"

Harvey: "Ouranos, a God that runs the Adventurer's Guild. Most of the matter is left to Royman due to the fact he never left his room of Prayer for over 1000 years. Makes me wonder why he never left that room..."

Y/N: "And the scandal?"

Harvey: "Something that has to do with money laundering, he was caught up with a few bad apples that got into illegal activities such as drug dealing and the one, I mentioned. Tanked his career quickly and got kicked out of the Guild which he later disappeared in thin air for a while. About 15 years ago, he started to surface again when he started his own."

Y/N: "Hence Black Iron Guild..."

Harvey: "Precisely. There wasn't much trouble between us until the incident a few years ago that resulted in a death of a high-ranking adventurer when he got into a confrontation with some adventurers from Black Iron Guild which turned really bad. Tense things happened between the guilds."

Y/N: "What happened between him and those members from the rival guild?"

Harvey: "The story goes that a high-ranking adventurer, by the name of Rian got into a fight with a few Black Iron Guild members that were harassing a friend of Rian's. He tried to get them back off which resulted in one of them pull out a weapon and got stabbed in the vital part of his body leading to massive blood loss. Rian died of his injuries when paramedics arrived on scene after the members fled from the scene."

Y/N: "That's terrible..."

Harvey: "Yeah, this is the only violent incident that resulted in deaths that happened. Most violent incidents were nothing but bruises and broken bones, things have been becoming more uncommon lately."

Y/N: "Why hasn't the government, rather the police did anything about Black Iron Guild? Heard they were corruption in the guild and getting caught up into shady stuff lately."

Harvey: "Lack of Evidence, the cases against the Black Iron Guild would drop due to witnesses not turning up. They were never seen again and with no evidence and testimonies, Black Iron Guild would remain untouched."
