Chapter 11: Into Mondstadt

Y/N's PoV

What a journey that was at the desert, found a new town, rescued a golfer and defeated another giant monster known as Desert Scourge that seemed a little tougher than King slime, overall, I managed to defeat it. I am thinking about looking into the rumor about something deep in the underground desert for something that was lost. Rumors did say the desert used to be an ocean back then.... weird.

Anyhow, I need to visit Harvey so I can accept the job he wants to offer me. I've visited his office to meet him with the man that has a job ready for me, it looks like he isn't too busy right now.

Harvey: "you made it. You're here for the job?"

Y/N: "Sure thing, what's the job?"

Harvey: "It's a simple job. I need you to deliver a message to one of our branches in another nation, give them our reports and see if they can send a message back as well. You'll be going to Mondstadt to visit our guild branches."

Y/N: "Mondstadt huh, what can you tell me about that nation?"

Harvey: "One of the seven nations that has their own Archon, it's hailed by an Anemo Archon named Lord Barbatos. They mostly worship him. The land is often nicknamed "The Land of Freedom" back then, pretty much a nation worth visiting if you're interested in the wine and the wind. Dandelions too. I've been there a few times on my old adventuring days when I visited their city which I will gladly call it the City of Freedom."

Y/N: "What's special about the City of Freedom?"

Harvey: "The City of Freedom is under control by a faction called the Knights of Favonius, order of knights to protect the people and their land. It was founded many decades ago by Venessa, now their current grandmaster is led by Varkas. One of the strongest people of Mondstadt."

Y/N: "So, how do I get to Mondstadt then."

Harvey: "I'll have one of my adventurers I've been advising take you to Mondstadt, he'll take you to the bridge that borders between Aqraria and Mondstadt nation which is mostly secured due to cliffs that lead down to the river. Security is often tight to keep smugglers and fugitives from going through the borders without using the bridge."

Y/n: "Once he takes me there, I'm on my own?"

Harvey: "He'll give directions once you get through the bridge. You'll able to reach Mondstadt in no time, just watch out for hilichurls. Heard they have been a common sight over there lately."

Y/N: "Alright then. I'll be on my way."

Harvey: "I almost forgot by the way. Heard the city of Mondstadt has been having troubles lately, some travelers and adventurers have been reporting sightings of a dragon causing terror over the land. Be careful on your way through."

Y/N: "Noted."

Harvey: "Good luck over there. Once you arrive at Mondstadt, deliver the letter to Katheryne. She'll handle the rest once you get it delivered. Maybe you could go sight see around Mondstadt."

New Quest: City of Freedom

"Harvey gave me a job that I need to get over to the neighboring nation known as Mondstadt to deliver a message to an Adventurer's Guild branch over at the city to a woman named Katheryne. I'll speak with the Adventurer that will take me over to the border to reach Mondstadt."

New Objective: Speak to Harvey's Adventurer

I left Harvey's Office and make my way over to the Adventurer that is waiting for me after I left the staff room, he looks like a hardened adventurer that has been through alot of dangerous shit, he's basically an orc. They may look a little ugly and have green skin, but they are some tough bastards you don't want to mess with. I admire those orcs.
