In the early morning, as the sun had already risen and birds sang freely in the sky, the scene shifted to the mountain peak and the somewhat shallow depths of the forest.

(Imagine it's snow time)

Within the forest, a weathered wooden house stands resiliently, despite its age. The camera zooms in, revealing a young man with black hair, dark blue eyes, and pale skin. This twelve-year-old is named Ushita Kawaki.

With his long black hair already tied back in a ponytail, he is currently chopping trees to gather dry wood for sale.

After finishing and selecting the best dry wood for sale, he returns home, only to be greeted by his mother.

Her name is Ushita Sakura.

Her black hair is tied back in a messy bun with a few loose strands left to dangle over her face. She wears a white kimono and a long-sleeved kappogi over the top, along with a white tenugui cloth wrapped around her head, covering most of it.

"I'm home!" Kawaki said as he set down the dry wood, while his mother greeted him.

"Welcome home, Kawaki. How was chopping the trees?" His mother greeted him with a smile.

"It's fine, actually. But it's tiresome chopping trees in the middle of winter," he said while drinking the tea his mother had made earlier.

"Is that so? Maybe you didn't eat breakfast this morning. That's why you're so tired."
