Chapter Thirteen; Mockingbird

At home
'I never knew that happened to you, I guess I'm your stepdad' Johnny says 'Yeah, but now you're my real dad since you've been there for me' Sky says then Johnny hugs her then Miguel walks in 'Can I talk to her?' he asks, then Johnny leaves and shuts the door, 'So?' Sky asks 'Are you sure you can still do karate with...' he asks kinda, 'Yeah, I think, I'm feeling a lot better' Sky says smiling a bit, 'Okay, I'm just worried about you because your stepdad is back' Miguel says 'Babe, I'm fine' Sky says cupping his face 'Okay, I'm still staying the night' He says 'Okay' she says getting comfortable in his warm arms, a few hours later Miguel is still awake while Sky is still asleep in his arms, he smiles warmly he hears a soft knock, 'Can we talk?' Robby asks quietly, Miguel nods and removes Sky off of him Robby and Miguel walk outside 'How much do you love her?' he asks 'Too much' Miguel says 'Well, on one condition... If you ever break her heart I'll tell our father to hurt yours' 'You have my word Rob' Miguel says, they go back to the room to see Sky not there 'Where did Sky go?' Robby asks 'I don't know' Miguel says running through the house 'Any idea where she could be?' he asks Robby 'Yeah, I think I do'
With Sky
'Sky, are you okay?' Robby asks 'Yeah, where's Mig at?' 'He's worried about you' Robby asks 'It's too much to handle- the tournament, the drama, Hawk, Sam LaRusso drama, Miguel in the hospital, me in the hospital now... This' 'I think this happened for a reason' Robby says sitting next to her 'Probably, I mean, Miguel is the best person I've ever met I love him too, too much, and he feels the same'  she says blushing a little 'You two deserve each other, you have another tournament coming up this week, are you going?' Robby says 'Of course I am, I cannot go' Sky says 'I only asked because of your injuries' 'Don't worry, I've healed now, I'm feeling better- wait is that the reason Dad hasn't given any of his karate students practice?' she asks 'Yeah, I think so, I think that's why he's retiring tonight' Robby 'He can't' Sky says jumping down and going back to the house 'Dad, you can't leave Cobra Kai' she argues 'I can't Johnny says 'Why? So you can get into your drinking habit again?' she argues with tears welling up in her eyes 'I don't feel arguing' Johnny says tiredly,  'Why? Because-Because you're quiting Cobra Kai because of my injures? You shouldn't I'm better, I'm ready for this tournament this weekend and I'm going to practice my ass off, and you can disagree with me but I won't give up on this dojo, I've been in this dojo since my ass was twelve and I've never gaven people that are closest to me, a second chance, so please don't give up... Because if you do... We'll have nothing left' Sky says out of breathe 'Sky-' he tries to say 'Fine! Do what you want! Because I don't give a shit, it's your life, I don't know why the daughter is telling the father to do the right thing and being the bigger person, the kid shouldn't be the bigger person! The father should be' she argues one last time 'Ever since mother and Mike left me, you never did but if you close down this dojo, you won't have me in your life anymore because that's how much the dojo means to me, that's how much you mean to me, that's how much Sam, Tory, Aisha, Miguel, Hawk and Robby mean to me, so please Dad, I'm begging you, you have till Friday to make up your mind' Sky says then sobbing running to her room
