Part 2 ~ Gleam High

BEEP. BEEP. BEEP. I sighed.

"I swear this alarm can't get any more annoying than it already is," I whispered with a frustrated tone. Slowly sitting up and resting my back on my bed rest I rubbed my eyes. 6:50 am and it's as bright as if it was already midday, sometimes summer annoys me.

~ 5 minutes later ~

I made myself a simple breakfast, toast with butter spread and tea as a beverage. While eating I decided to scroll through TikTok every video I saw was edits of SHINee members as I am quite a big fan of them.

10 minutes passed and I finally got up to get dressed in my uniform that I actually quite adore because of the style. Time passed by so quickly that I was going to run late, I told myself not to panic but I was basically running around the whole house grabbing everything I need.

"Okay, lunch box. Yes. Books. Yes. Homework. Uhhhh...Yes!" I asked myself as I checked through my mental checklist that probably forgot about 2 things, but who cares I was running late!

I rushed out of my house locking the door and ran down the stairs with my steps echoing behind me. School starts in 10 minutes and it was 7:15, I didn't think I could make it in time but because I sped walked at full speed it only took 5 minutes.

My friend, Millie, waited expecting me to be early like I always am but today wasn't like that. I apologized for being late and we made our way through the crowded hallways. Gleam High never has empty hallways, that's why most of the time you're late for your lesson. Even though you tell the teacher that the hallways were crowded you get detention. It's not because the school is bad, it's because it has really high expectations. That's why I always go 5 minutes early to class because in no way am I getting detention. Am I a nerd? No. I just have strict parents. Although I don't live with them because they lived too far from this school I had to buy dorms that are separate from the building for some reason.

While me and Millie were talking about how bad our timetables are for the day that's when we saw the two boys from the cafe, Sunoo and Ni-ki. They were with 5 more boys, I can't believe I have never seen their faces before. Well...that's until I saw Sunghoon, our school's best ice skater. Icehoonie or ice prince is what people call him. He is quite gorgeous but they all are. That's why they are popular, they are all pretty and are good at something. From what my other friend Su-yeol told me this is what they are most known for:

-Heeseung: Year 11. He's known for having charming vocals.
-Jay: Year 11. He's known for being an absolute flirt. I don't know how that's a talent but I guess it is now...
-Jake: Year 10. He's known for knowing everyone and everything about them. Kind of creepy...
-Sunghoon: Year 10. He's known for being the best ice skater our school has.
-Sunoo: Year 10. He's known for being an absolute cutie.
-Jungwon: Year 10. He's known for being amazing at taekwondo.
-Ni-ki: Year 9. He's known for being really passionate about dancing.

Since I've learned their names and why they are popular it makes sense. Although they are all in a range of 3 different years and 2 nearly graduating they seem to get along really well from what I see.

I just wonder...how did they all get to know each other?
