Maybe I'll Be Just Fine

"Elijah?" a voice echoed into the bathroom, followed by footsteps.

I sniffled, hugging my knees tighter to my chest in the small stall.

I spoke my first two words since that wretched presentation from history.

"Get out."

The footsteps paused, making my heart clench in pain. All those walls built up for nothing.

I heard rustling and grunting, confusing me, then a very rumpled boy started crawling into my stall. My mouth dropped open from how disgusting this was, but it was too late, and he was in my stall.

"That was the most vile, repulsive, gross thing I've ever seen." I stated, scrunching my face in disgust.

"Anything for you, baby," Jedediah grinned, plucking a piece of toilet paper off his jeans.

How absolutely romantic.

I shrieked when he started coming over to hug me, and scrambled up onto the toilet.

"Noooo, stop, don't do it," I threatened, my lips curving up when he broke out into a beaming smile.

"I've missed you, darling, let me shower you with affection," he whined, arms spread out in a hug.

"You can shower, but not me."

"Great idea, let's shower together," he said, face brightening.

I caved in, jumping into his arms.

Although he smelled very unpleasant, I missed him more than anything.

"Can we go home now?"
