Christmas Eve | The Originals

Christmas this year was spent with your second family. Though normally you would go home and spend it with your actual family, you decided to stay with the Mikaelson's and spend it with them. You knew they weren't the biggest fan of the holiday but you got the help of Rebekah and Kol and decorated the place from head to toe, the mansion looked beautiful.

"Love, this looks amazing," Niklaus comments as he walks up behind you. You smile at your boyfriend, "I got help from Bekah and Kol," you tell him.

"Well, I've come to tell you that it's snowing outside."

Your eyes widen with surprise me when Niklaus tells you this. You quickly run to look out the closest window making Niklaus chuckle at your giddiness. As you looked out the window you snow there were already a few layers of snow outside.

"I'm getting warmer clothes on," you tell Niklaus as you ran into your bedroom. When you came back out you were in the warmest clothes you could find, Niklaus places a kiss on your nose when you appear beside him, "you are very adorable."

You quickly got outside after that, Niklaus following behind you. You ran into the snow almost falling but Niklaus quickly catches you before you could, "thank you." You thank before standing back up on your feet.

You walk further into the backyard as Niklaus lingered closer to the house. You soon decided that you wanted to have a little fun. You knelt down and picked up some snow into your hands to create a snow ball. You stood back up and face Niklaus, hiding behind your back as you neared him. He gave you a look as he realized you were hiding something, "love, what do you think you are doing?"

You quickly threw the snow ball at Niklaus before running away, "that was not a smart move on your part, sweetheart," Niklaus calls out as you found a hiding spot behind a bush. You collected more snow into your hands as you peered out to where Niklaus was but you didn't see him.

You suddenly felt a cold substance hit your back. You turn around to face the direction it came from and saw Niklaus standing a few feet from you. You quickly throw the snow ball that was in your hand but he quickly dodges it, using his vampire speed.

"Nik that's not fair, I don't have inhuman speed," you complain as you pick up more snow and throw it again at him but still missing him. "No love I think your aim is just shit," he comments. Your mouth falls open.

You run towards him at full force aiming to take him down into the snow but instead you were the one met with the ground as he moves out of the way and you trip over your own feet.

"You're an asshole," you mumble as you stand up from the ground, brushing the snow off of your clothes the best you could before turning back towards your boyfriend. He could see the fire in your eyes when you looked him in the eyes.

You picked up more snow and threw it at him, hitting him square in the chest. You did it a second time but hitting him in the face. While he was blinded you ran full force at him again and this time making him fall to the ground but you came down with him as he wraps his arms around you. You both lay there in the snow laughing at what had just happened.

"I love you, Nik," you mumble into his chest, "I love you too. We should probably go back inside, it's freezing out here," Niklaus tells you before he places you in the snow as he stands up before helping you stand up.

You both go inside, Elijah had a fire already going so you went and sat by it while Niklaus went into the kitchen and got some hot cocoa for the both of you as well as popcorn before returning. He sits down on the couch and you quickly join him, cuddling up beside him.
