Not Meant To Be || Aki Hayakawa X Reader

The promise

"Wait" You said still out of breath trying to process. 

A bit confused to what was wrong he looked at you waiting for you to say something. "I just don't get it. So I will ask you directly... Do you like me Aki?" You were so flustered that you looked everywhere but his eyes. He chuckled lightly. 

"Well I wouldn't kiss you like this if I wouldn't right?" He said as he softly placed his lips onto yours again. "I'm sorry for confusing you." He mumbled against your lips. 

"I don't care about if it's confusing or not. It's just ... you're going back to Tokyo and I'm left here. It doesn't work." You said frustrated. Aki sighed. "I know. But I can't stay here..." He looked at you sadly and as you were to suggest you could come to Tokyo he interrupted you. "And you can't come to Tokyo. It is just to dangerous, I don't want you to get hurt." His hand softly grabbed yours and his fingers interlocked with yours as his thumb caressed your hand. 

He took a deep breath and then looked into your eyes. His gaze was soft and sincere. "Can you wait for me? I know it's a lot to ask for but it's not going to take long... A year or so and after I wrapped everything up I will come back for you. If that is what you want of course." 

Your heart fluttered. If you could wait for him? You would've waited an eternity and more if it meant you could be together with him in the end. Sounds cheesy right. 

"Promise?" You asked.  "Pinky promise." He answered and held his pinky out. You couldn't help but smile. "Ok pinky promise." Your pinkys interlocked before he gave you a little peck on the nose. 

"Now do you mind if we continue where we left of?" He seductively whispered into your ear as he pressed you onto the sofa. You giggled. "No, of course not." 

He gently placed kisses all over your neck and collarbone. His soft hair tickled your skin. Your hands slid under his loose shirt, where your hand met his warm and soft skin. 

"Wanna take it off for me?" He asked as he slightly bit onto your earlobe. God this men had you on your knees. You could only whimper a quiet humming noise.
Your fingers found the hem of his shirt and you slowly moved it up and he interrupted his trail of kisses to help you remove his shirt. He then tossed it on the ground. You couldn't help but acknowledge his great physique. 

A cocky smirk appeared on his lips as he noticed you staring. Hovering above you, he lightly grabbed your chin.
"Good girl." He praised you before he went in to kiss your lips again. This time rougher and messier. He wanted all of you and you all of him.

The two of you spent half of the day on that couch ;) , till both of you fell asleep.
And the rest of the day you spend together making dinner and talking about all sort of things old friends, new friends, wishes for the future, TV and so on. You talked till it was nighttime and you couldn't be happier to have met that boy again. 

But because of that the following day was even sadder since it was time for Aki to leave. 

They brought his car back and the two of you were standing outside in front of it to say your goodbyes. 

"Call me when you've arrived home." You said forcing yourself to smile.
"I will." He said nodding as he put his belongings in the trunk of the car. Then he stood before you and looked down at you with a small smile.
"It is really hard to say goodbye to you, especially after yesterday." He sighed and pulled you closer. You leaned against his chest and he gently patted your head. 

You looked up at him. "Don't look at me like that." He said frustrated and covered your eyes jokingly with his big hand. "Your making this really hard." He said as you put your arms around him. "Don't forget our promise." You said softly before you let him go. 

" I won't." He said honestly. " I will come visit as often I can." He then gave you a long kiss before he got into the car. 

He rolled down the window and gave you a big smile. "Think of me when it snows darling." He said. 

You nodded enthusiastic and your heart filled with warmth. "I will!" You promised. And then the car started rolling. "Drive save darling." You called after him. 

And as if the weather was mocking you the sun was practically burning the snow away and cleared the streets so that only dirt remained. 

You sighed. You missed him already and even though you knew that revenging his parents was very important to him you wished you could both just live a normal life. 

If only you would have known at that point how bad it was only gonna get from here. 

As Aki arrived in Tokyo he wrote you that he was going to call you later since he had to report to his superior. He explained again this time in person why he was stuck and couldn't return to Tokyo and apologized for the delay. He then gave you a quick call. 

The call ended as he arrived back at his apartment. Someone was already waiting in front of his door. She had a cigarette in her hand and a sly smile formed on her lips. 

"The long awaited guy. So, finally showing up from your little vacation." She mocked him laughing. 

"And your already getting on my nerve Himeno." He said sarcastically. He then opened his door and she invited herself in. "Is there something I can do for you?" He asked as he closed the door.

"Hmm no, not really." She said as she sat down. She looked around and intensely watched Akis every move. "So..." He said as he removed his jacket. 

"Oh I thought I should inform you about this thing I found." She said casually. Aki quickly spun around. "What? A piece from the gun devil?" He asked, excited to get back to work. 

"Pfft no. Keep calm. It's about this friend of yours, you know you asked me to look into it. It might be more urgent then we thought." She said as she searched for something in the pocket of her jacket. 

"This is going to help you."

Sorry for this late chapter ^-^ I've been a bit busy this month and didn't pre-write like the chapters before that.
