Katara Narrating:
Water. Earth. Fire. Air. Long ago, the four nations lived together in harmony. Then, everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked. Only the Avatar, master of all four elements, could stop them, but when the world needed him most, he vanished. A hundred years passed, and my brother and I discovered the new Avatar and his friend, airbenders named Y/n and Anne. And although his a master airbender, he has a lot to learn before he's ready to save anyone. But I believe Y/n can save the world.
Southern Water Tribe
(The villagers have gathered in the snow, waiting for the trio to return. Y/n, Anne and Katara approach the village and the gathered villagers that stand outside the village walls. The children become overjoyed upon seeing Y/n and Anne)
Village kids: Yay! Y/n and Anne are back!
(Some of them run over to him while the others remain cheerful in the crowd. On the other hand the adults have more stern and offended expressions. The children reach Y/n, Anne and Katara, crowding around them gleefully, and Y/n responds kindly with Anne. Sokka breaks from the line of villagers and steps forward toward Y/n and Anne)
Sokka: I knew it!
(He accusingly points a finger at Y/n as he, Anne and Katara draw closer)
Sokka: You two signaled the fire navy with that flare! You're leading them straight to us, aren't you?
Katara: Y/n and Anne didn't do anything! It was an accident.
Anne: Yeah. We were on the ship and there was this booby trap, and, well...
(Y/n awkwardly rubs the back of his head)
Y/n: I guess we booby-ed right into it.
Gran-gran: Katara, you should't have gone on that ship! Now we could all be in danger!
Y/n: Don't blame Katara. I brought her there. It's my fault.
Anne: You didn't do it alone. I was with Y/n too.
(Sokka angry and triumphant, found an excuse to get rid of Y/n and Anne)
Sokka: Aha! The traitors confesses! Warriors, away from the enemy.
(The children begin to walk away sadly)
Sokka: The foreigners are banished from our village.
(Katara clenches her fists)
Katara: Sokka, you're making a mistake.
Sokka: No, I'm keeping my promise to Dad.
(Sokka points to Y/n and Anne)
Sokka: I'm protecting you, from threats like them!
Katara: They aren't our enemies!
(Katara continues in a calm, soothing voice)
Katara: Don't you see? They have brought us something we haven't had in a long time. Fun.
Sokka: Fun?! We can't fight firebenders with fun!
Anne: You should try it sometime.
Sokka: Get out of our village! Now!
Katara: Grandmother, please. Don't let Sokka do this!
Gran-gran: Katara, you knew going on that ship was forbidden. Sokka is right. I think it best if the airbenders leave.
(Katara hearing that becomes outraged)
