CHAPTER 53

I got dressed in polar leggings, under shirt, sweater, and the warmest coat I could find. It had become freezing outside the last few weeks or maybe I was exaggerating but it was really cold, it had not snowed yet just rained. I looked like a ball with so many layers, my belly disappearing with so many clothes. I was up earlier than usual but those hours were showing to be extremely important, but at least I didn't have morning sickness today, I guess as I was almost eighteen weeks the morning sickness was starting to leave

"Baby are you ready?" Ace called out

"Yeah yeah" I murmured

Arms wrapped around my waist "you're falling asleep" Ace murmured "did you not sleep well last night?" He asked, worry lacing his every word

I shook my head "I'm fine, I slept fine. I'm just tired I guess"

He nodded slowly, a little at ease but still worried "Greyson is down in the kitchen with breakfast"

I nodded softly with a little smirk "I'm starving, so is the baby"

He smirked as well "so I am"

I pushed him away muttering under my breath what an asshole he was. I walked downstairs where breakfast was waiting for me, Greyson eyed me with my frown "why are you upset so early in the morning?" He asked grabbing a plate and filling it up with all types of pastries and fruits

"Your brother is teasing me" I grumbled

He chuckled "my mother dropped him way too many times on his head when he was baby"

Something clicked in my brain as soon as the words left his lips. I have no idea about their parents, will I ever meet them? Are they even alive? Actually, thinking about it, this is the first time they have even mentioned having a parent at all. It was not my place to pry but of course I would

I ate my donut without sparing him a glance

"Don't be angry, baby" he pouted "I won't tease you anymore"

"You know how horny the hormones are making me" I whined

"I'll stop, I swear" he raised his hand in surrender

My eyes widened in horror looking down at the time "oh god! Why don't you ever tell me when we're late! We're going to be so late for the appointment!" I jumped out of my seat and ushered both brothers "I swear I'll burn this place to ashes if we don't make it!" I threatened

We arrived at the hospital already late, my legs moving as fast as I could toward the maternity wing. I was excited for today's appointment with Dr Khan, I wanted to see the little thunder and how much it was growing inside of me. I couldn't wipe the stupid smile i had on my face as we arrived to his office

"Oh! Mrs Knox I was starting to worry you wouldn't come" Dr Khan smiled brightly at us, I could tell neither Greyson or ace were happy with seeing him

"Sorry we were so late" I apologies catching my breath

"Quite alright, why don't we go inside to start?" He suggested

I smiled and nodded but before I could walk Greyson wrapped his hand around mine so that he could walk me inside. We entered and this time Dr Khan said that we would see the baby through my belly so no need to undress, Ace almost sagged in relief. Still I had to take out all the layers I had over
