Marinette's POV: 3rd person

Marinette threw her bookbag onto her sofa as she walked into the kitchen to grab a snack. "Mom? Dad?" she questioned while searching the kitchen. She noticed a piece of paper in the fruit bowl. She opened the folded piece of paper and read it out loud.

Since your 'parents' and I are not home, you have to pick up your little brother. There are leftovers in the fridge, please help yourself. You are to take Tyler with you for protection. You can, however, take you car and someone of your choice. I would prefer that someone be a male who is strong enough to protect you.

Thomas Dupain

P.S. Don't take too long.

'So just dump all that responsibility on me' Marinette thought. She placed the note on the kitchen counter and searched for the letter Adrien had given to her. Once she found it, she opened the envelope and took out the paper which he had written on.

Dearest Marinette,
I am very sorry for going through your purse like that but I couldn't let you find out through a letter therefore I switched the letter with this one. In fact, I wasn't going to tell you at all. Now I feel a little too pressured to not tell you. I am honestly willing to tell you but I just can't bring myself to. We can meet if you like, maybe I'll make up my mind on if I should tell you or not. Please call me to settle on a time to meet, if you want to meet. If you don't want to meet that's fine, but I'd really like to hangout with you.

Love,
Adrien

P.S. We can meet anywhere of your choice.

Marinette then put the letter back into her purse in fear of her father finding it. She then took out her personal smartphone and pulled up Adrien's contact. "Tikki what if he didn't actually want me to call?!?" she said as she panicked.
"I'm sure he wanted you to call" her kwami said, "why would he tell you to call if he didn't want you to call?"
"You're right Tikki!" the blunette said as she pushed the button to call him. "Oh who am I kidding!! I can't do this!!" she exclaimed. She was just about to cut the call when she heard Adrien say hello. 'Oh gods' she thought as she mentally slapped herself.  "H- hey Adrien!" she exclaimed.

"Hey Mare" he repeated himself.

"Uh you said you wanted to meet, right?" She questioned calmly.

"Yeah" he replied, "I'm free for the rest of the day, if you want we can meet up now"

"Actually...." the blunette started as an idea started in her head, "I have to pick up my brother from kindergarten, I was allowed one person, preferable a boy who can protect me to tag along as long as I take my car, you can tag along if you want"

"I'd be hounered to tag along with the great Ms. Dupain-Cheng" the blonde replied, smiling on the other side of the phone. "I'm still at school right now, so I can walk to the bakery if you want"

"You don't have to-" she said but was cut off by Adrien.

"No, I insist" she was about to protest but was too late. Adrien had cut the call. 'He's so stubborn' she thought as she grabbed her purse and car keys.

At the front of the school Adrien pulled up his bodyguard's contact and sent him a text, telling him he was going to hang out with Marinette at the Bakery. He then put his phone into his pocket and started walking to the bakery. He was about to cross the road when a car with a guy around his age in the driver's seat pulled up in front of him. "Get in Agreste" the male said.

"Who are you?" the blonde asked "nice Lambo by the way"

"Thanks but this is your girlfriend's not mine" the boy said moving his chocolate brown hair from his face.

"M- my girlfriend?" the blonde managed to stutter out.

"He's not my boyfriend Tyler" a girl said from the backseat.

"Whatever" Tyler said "just get in the car, preferably the back seat."

"O- Okay" the blonde said as Tyler lowered the seat for him to sit next to the girl in the back. Adrien got into the car and stared at Marinette while Tyler fixed the seat in front of the blonde and stared driving. The two stared intensely at each other until Marinette asked, "Why are you staring at me like that?"

"I'm not staring at you" the blonde protested.

"Then what were you doing?"

"I was was admiring you"

"Admiring me?" the blunette scoffed, "I highly doubt that"

"I really was"

"No you weren't"

"Yes I was"

"No you weren't"

"Yes I was"

"N-"

"You two are like a married couple" Tyler said interrupting the two teens.

"We are, aren't we?" the blonde questioned.

"I think that's a sign" the brunette said.

"Maybe it is" Adrien smirked while leaning towards Marinette.

"Don't get any ideas pretty boy" the blunette said while tapping his nose with her index finger.

"I wasn't thinking of any Mi'lady" the blonde said blushing. The car quickly went quiet.

"what did you call me?" the blunette question while staring at the blonde.

"N- nothing" he swiftly replied, "I didn't call you a- anything"

"We're here people" Tyler said as he stopped the car and pulled the front seat down for them to pass. They got out of the car and walked to the school gate while Tyler parked the car in an appropriate spot to wait. "What did you want to talk about?" the blunette asked breaking the silence between them.

"Well you see I uh" he started, "I need you to uh um"

"Why are you nervous?" the blunette asked, "is it something embarrassing? If you think it is, I'll have you know that you have nothing to be embarrassed about"

"Well I-" the blonde began but was cut off by the bell. The two teens looked at the gate as the children rushed to their parents. Adrien looked surprised as a small blonde child came running towards duo. Adrien stared in confusion as the blonde child yelled, while jumping into Marinette's arms, "Mom!"
