Chapter 2: City of Undead

  Malakas ang ihip ng hangin, natanaw ko si Qiro at ang mga kasamahan niya na nasa tabi ng Kahok river.

"The raven finder is now here..."

   Bumuntong hininga ako nang matanaw ko sila. They're all wearing masks just like me. We're all wearing ragged clothings and in the side of our hips, there's a long sword.

   Qiro counted everyone. Just like I usually do, I looked at every member of the party...

      I feel ominous. Hindi ko alam kung dahil ba papunta kami sa abbadon city or maybe there's a raven here?

"We're all complete." Qiro declared.

     Napatingin ako sa paligid habang nag-oobserba. Benteng-katao ang andito sa lugar na ito kasama ako.

"We'll all proceed now." saad ni Qiro. isinuot niya ang itim din na maskara sa mukha niya.

    We're all wearing black which is unusual. We usually just wear any clothes and just masks as per normal operations, but this time it's different.

    Lahat kami ay nakaitim at balot na balot. Makes me certain how hard and difficult this operation is.

   May dala-dalang isang malaking kahon ang nasa may unahan na mga lalaki. I think that's opium.

    Biglang may tumapik sa balikat ko. I saw the giant figure of Qiro, then he whispered something to me.

"Report to me everything, Garam."

     Tumango lang ako.

     Being a raven finder is one of the rarest skills a human can have in this continent. If one asked why? ito ay dahil ang mga taong ito ay may abnormalities when it comes to their intellects and instincts.

   Sa mundo na puno ng patayan, one must develop a certain level of instinct to survive.

   But it happened in this continent where people with abnormal instincts appear. They are called sensors.

      Sensors are usually timid people who tend to run away every time they sense danger. I'm one of the sensors. But instead of running away, kabilang ako sa mga ginawang pagkakaperahan ang kakayahan na ito.

    Sensors have different types of abilities which has something to do with hearing, smelling, watching and feeling. People believed that sensors has something to do with humans adapting with beasts instincts. 

Sa kontinente na puno ng halimaw ang paligid, nabuo ang mga taong kagaya ko na may kakayahan na madama ang paligid gaya ng mga hayop. Mata na kagaya ng agila, 

"Tumahimik ang lahat." Sambit ko.

    Natigil ang lahat at napatingin sa direksyon ko. I can't hear any insects noise despite this place filled with long grasses and plants.

    But I can hear a footsteps. A human. And the sounds of this footsteps which is more heavy? I think it's male.

"May papadating. Nag-iisa lang, lalaki. "

     Nagsenyasan ang mga kasamahan ko. Some unsheathed their sword.

    Biglang bumungad sa amin ang isang lalaki, just like what I expected it to be.

   He's also wearing black wuxia clothing like us. I bit ky lower lip. It's hard to track where is the party of Qiro since were all almost wearing same clothes.

"I am Chako from the Gamdo sect."

    Biglang nakahinga nang maluwag ang mga kasama ko. I remained sharps.

   I've been with Qiro for months and there have been three times where we encountered a raven.
   
   Tonight is ominous.....but there's still no strange things happen.

"I'll guide you." Baritono ang boses ng lalaki na pinadala ng Gamdo sect.

    Qiro has been one of the smugglers and one of notorious criminals. He know a few martial techniques, but fighting Gamdo sect? I can't even fathom it.

"Abaddon ba talaga ang lugar?" rinig kong bulungan ng ilan kong kasama.

     Matapos ng ilang minutong paglalakad ay bumungad na sa amin ang isang luma at kinakalawang na malaking gate.

    Napaangat ang tingin ko sa gate. There's something written in it but I can tell it's the name of the primordial god, Abaddon.

    Luma na ang bakal na meron sa gate ngunit guarantee ang taas at laki nito. Malalaki rin ang bakal na ginamit para sa gate, ang kapal ng bakal ay kasingkapal ng braso ng tao.

   Pagpasok namin sa loob ay doon ko mas napansin ang pagkakaiba.

   This place, seems more darker. Napaangat ang tingin ko sa kalangitan, and I've got goosebumps all over my body.

   The red skies has been normal for the continent of alargion since the fire of livings appeared, but in this place.... the fire in the sky was so extreme!

     Parang may ipo-ipong apoy ang nakapalibot sa kalangitan at ang sentro ang ipo-ipo ay tila asul na apoy na naglalagablab at sobrang laki.

    Lahat ay naglakad habang tumingin-tingin sa paligid, but as we reached a hundred steps inside the gate, we were welcomed by an unusual smell.

"W-What's this smell!"

    Biglang napuno ng reklamo at bulungan ang paligid mula sa mga kasama ko. Despite having mask, the smells still pierced through the nose.

    This place has a rotten smell... if I describe it, it's the smell of rotten flesh.

"Lower your voice." the envoy of the Gamdo sect said.

     Parang may dumaan na anghel sa mga kasama ko at natahimik sila.

    Nagpatuloy kami sa paglalakad pero, ito na ang kahindik-hindik na eksena mula nang pumunta kami dito.

    From where we're standing, we can see that the area is an open space with a still-life statue on it's center, but what's horrible has not to do with the place or to the statue.

    Sobrang daming bangkay sa paligid.

      May mga bangkay na may laman pa, may mga bangkay na buto nalang ang tira, but what's make it scarier is that, lahat ng ito ay nagsasalita, gumagapang o humihingi ng saklolo.

    Ramdam ko ang pagtayo ng balahibo ko mula sa ulo hanggang talampakan.

      Napaangat ako ng tingin sa kalangitan at halos matuyo ang lalamunan ko.

    The center of the red fire is a blue fire in the middle, and it's directly pointed at the statue of Abaddon.

    Living corpses, center of fire in the sky, corpses speaking and the giant statue...

    We're really now at Abaddon, the city of undead!
