Neteyams pov.

" Neteyam.. " I heard someone say behind me and turned around and looked to Aonung who hung his head slightly his ears faltered and his face showed embarrassment and guilt

I narrowed my eyes at him and frowned
" Aonung" I said he looked to me before looking back down playing with his hands "can I sit? " He said motioning to the spot next to me

I sighed and nodded looking back to the water I felt sand move next to me and heard Aonung let out a sigh a big one

" Neteyam I am sorry.. " he said quickly looking at me but I avoided his gaze grunting " what were you doing? I thought you were better than this.. " I said looking at him hurt displayed on my face

He bit his lip and looked down " the group had said I was becoming soft..and said how could I be the chiefs son if I was to soft and lovey dovey or something" Aonung said playing with his hands again

" So they dragged me to taunt and laugh at your sister, I didn't want to buy I did under the pressure" he said now avoiding eye contact

" I know that doesn't excuse what I did.. and when I tackled Lo'ak but I really am sorry Neteyam " he said looking down at his hands

I sighed and bit my lip slightly before cupping the side of his face careful to nod touch any scratches " I guess I can forgive your idiot actions " I said smiling slightly

Aonung looked to me and smiled brightly before tackling me to the sand I yelled with shock and fell down with him " thank you Neteyam " he said hugging me tightly

I looked at him in shock still and smiled hugging back returning the tightness.

After a minute or two we let go and Aonung had either of his arms by my head that held him above my top half of my body

I looked at his face and smirked slightly "damn " I said in a whisper brushing a thumb against his cheek motioning to the bruised eye he had " Lo'ak got you good huh " I said grinning with a small laugh
