You and Joon-yeong kicked and punched zombies away as Ha-ri used her bow to shoot them dead. The others rushing out the room with the racks that are tied together.
"Hurry!"
"Let's go!"
"More!"
"Turn!"
"Turn!
"Get in! Get in!"
"Close it!"
"Did you tie it?"
Everyone yelled. Cheong-san grabbed your crop-top at the back pulling you inside then closing his side tying up the racks as it forms a circle where zombies rammed into it.
"Done. Push!" Su-hyeok yells and everyone starts pushing through the zombies that piled around the barricade desperately trying to reach there next meal.
"Push!"
"Damn it!"
"They're climbing over!"
"It won't budge!"
"Push harder! We can do this!"
"Push harder! Harder!"
"It won't move!"
The barricade wouldn't move as everyone struggled. Zombies started to climb over so Cheong-san and Su-hyeok used a metal bat they found to bash the zombies away. Ha-ri shooting them and Wu-jin picking up a blue and red pad to knock them back.
"Damn it! It won't budge!" You shout as you try ramming into it with your shoulder to at least get somewhere but failed miserably. Only caused more pain considering you used your bad shoulder. Mi-jin gets grabbed by a zombie and the zombie was pulling her closer
"Fuck!" She yelled. Joon-yeong came to her rescue pushing the zombies head away with his hand. His hand awfully dangerous to the bloodthirsty students mouth. Your eyes widened at how close it is.
"Joon-yeong, watch your ha—" You cut yourself off seeing the zombie bite into his flesh. Mi-jin stabbed the zombie with her sharp wooden like-spear. Cheong-san bashes it off him completely and he falls to the floor in disbelief. You and Mi-jin rush to his side.
"Hey, are you okay?" Mi-jin questions in panic
"Fuck, Joon-yeong. No!" You yell in frustration as his face shows a saddened expression
"Shit. I said i'd take responsibility." He mumbles
"No, wait. Joon-yeong...you said WE'LL take responsibility!" You yell trying to grab him as he stands up
"Joon-yeong!" You and Cheong-san yell trying to stop him
"Hey! Hey!" Mi-jin cries also trying to stop him
"I made a promise to you, don't you dare!" You shout in anger as he escapes your grasp and climbs over the rack completely ignoring everyone who was protesting. He fell to the ground zombies biting him as he ran back to the barricade throwing zombies out the way.
"Get off! Push! Push! Go home! Make it home!" He cries out as zombies bit into his back. Anger built up in you seeing the sight and not being able to keep a promise you made. Your jaw clenched as you went to front and started pushing the barricade finally started moving as everyone pushed while containing sobs of there own.
"No. Hey!" Mi-jin yells
"Keep going! Keep going! Keep going..." He yells out in pain as his nose is bleeding a lot and more zombies bit into him. His hand on top of the barricade as Mi-jin put her own on top of his
"No! No, stop it! No! Wait! I'm sorry!" She cries and and you slam your fist into the barricade in anger. No tears left your eyes, as you wasn't as sad. You were disappointed in yourself and felt like you betrayed him for not being able to keep the promise you made him. Everyone sobbed loudly excluding you as you all continued to push. Joon-yeong was on the ground being completely torn to shreds if it wasn't for him you all wouldn't of been able to move. His sacrifice was very much needed as cold as that is to say.
Cheong-san continued to smack zombies away as they started leaving Joon-yeong's body to continue to attack the barricade. You look back to see Joon-yeong on the barricade zombie form as Cheong-san hesitates to hit him. You push Cheong-san back and Mi-jin watches your actions cautiously
"We had a good run. I'm sorry I couldn't keep the promise. Joon-yeong...I give you mercy." You shout over the snarling zombies. You take out your dagger and stab Joon-yeong's corpse deep in the neck. He falls to the ground lifeless as you pull it out. You turn around only to receive a punch to the face and a shove into the barricade.
"You dumbass! I thought he was your friend!" Mi-jin yelled as she punched your face again. She attempts to do it again but you grab her wrist and push her backwards with your other. A cold expression written on your face as usual
"He was. I gave him mercy. Anyone who dies would normally want to die in peace not turn into a blood-thirsty zombie." You snap at her. She stammers as you barge pass her and continue to push the barricade with your jaw clenched. Su-hyeok puts his hand on your shoulder
"You did what he would've wanted!" Su-hyeok shouts over the snarls. You nod and all continue to push.
"Mhm" You hum
"Untie it! Untie it!" Su-hyeok yells as you and Dae-su start untying the rack that was closest to the door while Su-hyeok smacked zombies away. Once it was untied you and Su-hyeok rammed into the door while everyone held back the zombies but it was locked.
"Shit." You whisper banging on the door while twisting the door knob
"The door won't open!" Su-hyeok yells turning around to the group
"What are you talking about?" Cheong-san yells struggling with the zombies
"The door won't open!" On-jo repeats next to you as Su-hyeok bangs the doorknob repeatedly with his bat but it didn't budge. Everyone bashing the zombies. You notice the side where Nam-ra is open. You rush over to her and help put it together and you both hold it together.
"Come on. Hurry up already!" Hyo-ryung yells
"It won't open. It's locked from the outside. Shit." Su-hyeok grunts as he rushes to your side and bashed a zombie away from your head that was pulling on your hair. He then helps you hold the barricade close with his chest against your back. On-jo continues to hit the door trying to get it to open but failing.
"Doors open!" You yell as everyone starts running out the door. Once everyone was out Cheong-san slams the door shut. You lean on the door throwing your head back and breathing heavily.
"You okay?" Su-hyeok questions as you hum in response. You feel someone small... wrapping themselves around your waist there head shoved in your abdomen. You furrow your eyebrows as you don't recall anyone being that short. Your head slowly moves down to see a familiar girl sobbing loudly as she held you tight
"Sakae!?" You yell

I thought there were only 10 episodes in all of us are dead. Generally thought I was close to finishing the book only to find there are 12. Not upset about it though, I enjoy writing this 😂
