Key Five: Hope
Beginning Quote: "Man can live for about forty days without food, and about three days without water, about eight minutes without air...but for only one second without hope." ~Hal Lindsey
Hope. We all think we hope. But, the question is, are you hoping with hope, or hoping with doubt? Do you truly hope if you doubt?
No. You can't have pure hope if it is infected with doubt. Doubt is like a disease; it starts inside your head, but soon envelops your entire body until it is consumed in doubt. Doubt drains away the hope. So, no, you cannot be fully hopeful until all doubt is washed away.

"Hopefully..."
Ah, yes. I hear that word so many times a day. At least twenty, I'd say. Sometimes more. I hear it so many times, you'd think that the gym is full of hope.
Sadly, that is not the case. Although the word 'hope' is spoken quite often, very few times does it actually mean that the person is hoping. Most of the time, they speak with another feeling. Another feeling that is a fatal disease. A disease that will forever scar you should you fall ill with it and survive.
Doubt. Many deny they have it. Many say that they have never had it, nor will they ever. But even as they say it, they doubt. They doubt all the time. All day, all night. Every minute, every second.
It is hard for a gymnast to hope when surrounded by doubt, but I do. I hope to hope instead of doubting. I hope to help my friends hope. Sometimes my hoping helps them hope.
Lately, we have been hoping a lot more often. It's amazing how much better you can be if you hope. Everyone has been improving. And when we improve, so do the coaches' moods. Although, we do hope for their moods to be good as well... It's a win-win situation, either way.
Hopefully, us hoping will help to cure the entire gym of doubt. We can always hope. And in gymnastics, you need to hope. A lot.

Is the doubt gone? Is it replaced by something else? Like, for instance, the fifth Key? Maybe? Hopefully.
If you have found the fifth Key, congratulations! One more Key, one more step closer. Maybe you found more than one Key when you hoped. Congratulations again! Looks like a lot of Keys are being found. That's good!
If you did not find hope, it means you still have the doubt virus inside of you. Doubt makes it harder to find Keys. It'll worm its way into your happiness or courage. Try and stop your defiance or imagination.
Don't let it. Hope. And then you'll find the fifth Key.
Ending quote: "You've gotta have hope. Without hope life is meaningless. Without hope life is meaning less and less." ~Jerry Smith
