Adira Harrington threw her head back in annoyance after checking her watch, "oh my god, do these kids ever know how to be on time?" She huffed under her breath, her leg bouncing up and down as she leaned against the wall of the arcade.

She shivered slightly, the cool air nipping at her skin despite the fact that she had jeans on and a long sleeved shirt, "I should have bought a fucking jacket," she frowned

"Addy! Addy hey, we're here!" Dustin called out to her as they spotted the short girl leaning against the wall near the entrance. They rode over to her and dropped their bikes on the ground, grinning up at her excitedly

"My god, I should get you guys watches for your birthdays," she said to them, rolling her eyes with a kind smile, excited to see the kids

"Where's W-" Adira got cut off by the sound of a car horn. They all looked over to see Ms Byers and Will. She gave the kids a wave and then began to talk to Will quickly before motioning for him to get out and go have fun.

Will wound down the window and tilted her head down so she could get a good look at Adira, "hey Adira honey, thanks for offering to watch the kids! If anything goes wrong get them to give me a call and I'll come straight over okay?" Joyce called out to the sweet girl

Adira smiled at the woman and nodded her head, "of course Joyce, it was no hassle, I'll be having just as much fun playing the games anyways! And will do," she called out, waving over at Joyce.

Joyce thanked the girl one last time and then drove off, a smile on her face because she knew that Adira wouldn't let anything bad happen to her son. Adira welcomed Will over to the group and then threw her arms around the kids, pulling them in for a hug, "alright losers let's go have some fun. Also I brought you each five extra quarters alright," she said before pulling away from the hug and then digging into her jumper to fish out the money, her tongue sticking out slightly in the corner as she does so.

The kids all look at the money excitedly, thanking her as they take five quarters from her

"Thanks Adira, you're the best!" Will said excitedly

"Thanks Addy," Dustin and Lucas chanted

"Thanks Addy, now I can give my sister some of her money back," Mike said in relief.

"No problem losers, let's go," she said and messed up Dustin's and Will's hair before guiding them into the arcade.

They were all crowded around Dragons Lair as they watched Dustin play the game. "Oh, Jesus! I'm in unchartered territory here, guys," Dustin exclaimed as he carefully moved the joystick

Adira held the top score on this game, along with multiple other games. However there were two games that she didn't play. Dig Dug and centipede. She didn't play these games, but that was because the last time that she played, she completely smashed Dustin's high scores and he wasn't happy about it. He spent weeks beating her scores, using god knows how many quarters. Adira knew how much the games meant to him, so she even supplied a large amount of those quarters and decided that it was probably best if she didn't play the game anymore

The kids all began yelling at Dustin and the screen, telling him what to do as the dragon began to attack. Adira chuckles softly in amusement, loving how much they really got into the game

But then he died again, he began kicking and hitting the machine, cursing it out angrily while his friends tried to make him feel better

"You know what, atleast I still have the high scores in dig dug and centipede," Dustin said as he shrugged his shoulders, trying to make himself feel better
