Yes, Loid does in fact know Ali can do college level math. He saw her working on pre-calculus, and ever since then, she's been seen as a prodigy among the elementary teachers of Eden Academy.
Also, Ali wanted to be put in a dorm to avoid Forger chaos.
(Though she will be present in the Forger residence on weekends.)
She will also be awarded 3 stella for her academic achievements.
(Honestly, I would've done more, but that won't work with the plot as of right now. They assume that she's mediocre and can't keep up with other students.)
