Part 33 Natsu Return

A year had passed since Fairy Tail's dissolution, and during that time Wendy had found a warm, welcoming home at Lamia Scale. Less expectedly, Romeo had also ended up there. While the guild changed from the lively chaos of Fairy Tail, Wendy and Romeo discovered a shared determination to master Dragon Slayer magic. Through days of intense training under the watchful eyes of Chelia and others, their bond deepened into something neither dared speak aloud—an affection that pulsed beneath every sparring match and late-night study session. They relished how their growth as Dragon Slayers brought them closer. Infact when it was time for Wendy to preform on stage she almost choked out of fear, but Romeo gave her all the motivation she needed.

"Come on you'll do great! And I'll be cheering for you the whole time!" Romeo said giving her that reassuring smile she loved so much.

"Thank you! And yeah I got!" She said getting on stage with Chelia. Natsu and Lucy observed in awe at the "sky sister's performance" commenting about how it made sense Wendy went to Lamia Scale since her and Chelia were friends but curious as to why Romeo wasn't with his father.

"AND JOINING IS NOW IS THE SKY SISTERS TRUSTED PARTNERS THE FIRE BROTHERS!"

The announcer yelled as Romeo and Nexis hopped on stage and performed alongside the sky sisters.

Lucy, was astonished to see how much both Wendy and Romeo had changed. The pair moved gracefully across the stage, their combined spells and choreography dazzling the crowd. Romeo's newfound prowess as a Dragon Slayer surprised Lucy, who recognized the familiar, fiery spirit in his eyes—reminiscent of Natsu's.

Backstage, Natsu waltzed in and tried to abduct Wendy right then and there much to everyone's annoyance.

"You're getting fairy tail back together that's awesome!" Wendy said excited.

"I gotta say Fiore hasn't been the same without your rowdy guild, I'd love to see it again. And that punk Gray" Lyon admitted.

"What's up Romeo?" Natsu said approaching Romeo after the show.

Romeo almost broke down into to tears, he hadn't felt this way since the time everyone returned from Tenrou.

"What's wrong kiddo?" Natsu asked gently.

Romeo quickly whipped his tears and gave Natsu a toothy smile.

"I missed you big bro!"

"I can tell you've gotten a lot stronger, you're a real dragon slayer now! I can feel it!" Natsu said with a smirk.

"He's starting to look like a mini you" Lucy told Natsu she was unable to hide her smile. She was so happy to see her old friends again after so long.

"Part of me is still longing for home. Yet, I owe so much to Lamia Scale. They've helped me grow stronger... and I don't want to leave Chelia behind" Wendy confessed.

Lucy noted Wendy's anxious gaze drift toward Romeo as he talked to Natsu., but his eyes flicked back to Wendy whenever he could as well. Lucy sensed there was more to Wendy's reluctance than just Chelia.

Natsu noticed Romeo's gaze stray to Wendy. Natsu's grin faltered, realizing the dilemma in his friend's heart, Romeo felt an urge to see more of the world, but he also felt responsible—protective—of Wendy.

After that heart wrenching conversation where they both denied going back. Romeo and Wendy were outside doing there daily sparring. But Romeo could tell something was off, Wendy wasn,'t preforming at her best and he knew she could do better. Something was on her mind.

"You wanna go with them don't you? I do too"

"I...." Wendy looked away unable to find the words.
