Another day of coming home to emptiness. It was all different a month ago. You would come home to either a clingy boyfriend who's always excited to greet you, or you would wait for your boyfriend's arrival from his work. Now, you had no one to welcome you nor wait for.

Just when you thought his parents were accepting of you and liked you with their son, it all changed when his dad got offered a collaboration with the Choi. They suddenly want you out of their son's life and you found out he is now engaged to Sarah Choi. The daughter of Mr Choi.

You thought Jungkook would do and say something about it but he watched you leave. You hated him, you hated him for making you go through this alone.

Your thoughts got interrupted when you received a call from an unknown number. You picked it up.

"Hello?"

"Hello? Is this y/n?" a familiar voice rung in your ear.

Jungkook's mother.

"What are you calling me for?" you asked.

"Y/N, could you please come to Jungkook's apartment? jungkook! Stop! You're going to break-"

You heard some crashing noises in the background.

"Why should I?"

"Please Y/N, he's going to hurt himself." his mom pleaded.

Your heart clenched.

"Is Sarah not there?" you asked.

"Just come quickly. JUNGKOOK! Put that down!" she yelled.

"Just this once." you say before ending the call and quickly driving to his apartment.

You hated how easy it was for you to drop everything to run back to him. But you thought, it was for him. For his safety.

Just as you reached his apartment door, you could hear yelling and some glass shattering noises. You rang the doorbell and it was quickly opened by his mother.

"Oh gosh Y/n, quickly help him" she said rushing you in.

Your eyes widened at the state of his apartment. Glass shattered everywhere. The vase he had for a long time was now broken on the ground. You made your way to the kitchen where he was at, and you could hear his fiancé.

"Jungkook, just breathe, calm down" she said.

You rolled her eye. Breathing isn't going to help him now.

"Move" you say and his fiancé was surprised to see you here.

You carefully made your way closer to him.

"Jungkook, put that down" you say calmly.

He turned around, surprised to hear you call his name. Surprised to even hear your voice. It's been awhile since he heard such a sweet voice call his name.

"Get out" he said sternly.

He wanted you with him, he wanted you to come to him. But at the same time, he didn't want to risk you getting hurt. From all the glass on the floor.

"Stop" he said as he sees you coming closer, being careful with where you're stepping.

"Jungkook, put that down. What are you doing? Are you trying to hurt yourself?" you say softly, with a frown on your face.

"Damn it y/n, I told you to stop" he said making his way over to you.

He wrapped his arm around you, picking you up effortlessly by your hips, making your arms automatically wrap themselves around his neck. He carefully bring the two of you away from all the glass pieces on the floor, and set you down at a safe space.

"There's glass everywhere, what do you think you were doing?" he scolded.

"What happened? Why are you so angry?" you asked seeing his distressed face.

"I'm tired y/n. I'm tired" he said rubbing his face.

You took his hand in yours and the other on his face. He leaned into your touch. He was a completely different person as compared to when you came into the apartment. He's the Jungkook you knew. His eyes teared up. The touch he had been longing for. Finally.

"Why are you so tired?" you asked, caressing his cheeks.

"I can't sleep. I haven't been sleeping well. I need you y/n, I need you" he said.

It shattered your heart. Your heart broke into pieces when you heard his cry for help. He wanted you so badly, and you hated that there was nothing he could do. It was clear now that he didn't want to see you go. It was clear now that it was never what he wanted. It was what his parents wanted for the company to prosper. And you hated that it had to be this way.

"Jungkook-"

"No mom, please. Just let me live. Just this once, listen to what I want. I've always given what you wanted. I've always met your expectations. And I'm asking just this one thing" he said, turning to his mom.

"I don't want to marry Sarah. I want and have always wanted to marry Y/N. It has always been Y/N mom. Please. She's the only one that understands me, the only one that can love me wholeheartedly. And I love her with my whole heart. Please mom" he cried.

His mom was speechless. He had never seen Jungkook cry like this in front of him. Never had he shown his vulnerable side as much as this. He had never seen her own child begging to be with who he love. Jungkook had always hidden that side of him away from his mom. When he was forced to leave you, when you walked out the door, he let you because he didn't want to disappoint his beloved mom. He cried the whole day in his room. Sometimes lied to his mom that he had already eaten when she knocked on his door asking to eat dinner. He was broken behind closed doors. And she had never seen him like this.

His mom immediately broke down. Falling onto her knees as her husband tried to hold her up. Jungkook too fell along with her, holding her as they both cried to each other.

"I'm so sorry son. I didn't mean to do this to you. I didn't know how much she meant to you. I thought it wasn't that serious. I feel like such a failure for not letting my son be with who he's in truly in love with. Please forgive me son," she cried.

"Mom, please. Let me be with y/n. I don't want anyone else, I will follow whatever you say, just let me be with y/n" Jungkook cried, still begging.

You cried at the scene. Your heart ached that the family was so vulnerable with each other like this. Never were they this vulnerable to each other.

"Y/N, please be with my son again. I'm sorry for doing this to your relationship. I'm sorry for forcing you out of his life. Please, be with Jungkook" she said turning to you.

You kneeled down next to her before rubbing her back.

"I promise, I will take care of your son until he dies if you let me" you say and pulled her into a hug.
