syd couldn't believe what they were seeing.
"i can't believe this place has its own ballroom!" syd admired the room.
"this is a gym." alex explained.
"what?" syd gasped. "i'm gonna hit the restroom. i cannot wait to meet all of your friends!"
syd ran away, and alex gave elena a suspicious look.
"all of your friends? you have one, and she's right there." alex pointed to cherry, who was across the room.
cherry adjusted her red dress, and had her arms wrapped around some boy.
alex looked down.
he'd broken up with nora last night, for cherry.
when he was on his way to confess his feelings, and how stupid he'd been, she was being asked to homecoming by another boy.
alex left before cherry saw him.
to take his mind off cherry, he accepted another girls invitation to homecoming.
