A few weeks later during Christmas break

James didn't always see the kitten every night, if he didn't see him he'd usually try and read the book that Sirius and him had a bet on who would finish it first. Tonight was one of those nights.
James was sat on his cloak in the astronomy tower trying to read, but in reality he was spaced out looking into the sky.
He was brought back to life when he felt something rub against his back.
"AH- oh." James paused, "You scared me."
The kitten purred and crawled into his lap, James pet him and continued to read his book.
James felt the kitten slowly fall asleep in his arm, he carefully laid back, set down his book and started to pet him.

Only 131 words I know, but I didn't want to include it in the last chapter and didn't want to include it in the next chapter, plus this is the second chapter out today. I know that its kinda boring because I'm only focusing on the nights and I even just did a huge time skip butbI wanna try and get it more enjoyable
