Namek

A couple days after the events of the last chapter

Y/N, Gohan, Bulma, Krillin, Chichi, Master Roshi and the Ox King can be seen at Kame House, preparing for the departure of those selected for the mission to Namek. A bit has happened over the past couple days. For one Krillin has taught Y/N the basics like how to fly, shoot ki blasts, mask his presence and sense the presence of others, but this took majority of their time, preventing Y/N from meeting any the others, until now.

Roshi: so this is the person you told us about

He says while inspecting Y/N, Bulma and Ox King doing the same while Chichi is checking if Gohan has packed everything he needs for the trip to Namek

Roshi: I would like to thank you for agreeing to come along and help us, even though you hardly know us

Y/N: no need to thank me, Krillin just made me an offer that was hard to refuse

Roshi simply nods having been filled in by Gohan about the terms of Y/N's cooperation

Roshi: anyway, it about time you four get going, it's going to be a long journey but at least you have each other to keep yourselves company, make sure you train hard on the way there and while still there, you never know what you might encounter

Krillin and Y/N nod while Gohan tries to but is preoccupied with Chichi constant smothering

Krillin: I guess it's time to go

Y/N And Bulma are the first to get in the ship while Krillin waits for Chichi to let Gohan go before waving at the others and closing the door as they take off

Small timeskip

The team has gotten a good distance away from earth when Bulma decides to make some conversation

Bulma: so Y/N, I've heard you haven't really gone out for a long time, how are you adjusting to a new age of technology

Y/N: technology might be different and a bit weird but it's nothing that I can't get used to, besides it's not really that weird, I can die, the kid is half alien and Krillin has no nose

Bulma: I guess you have a point

Krillin: by the way, what's with the hair

He says referring to Gohan causing said boy to look down out if shyness

Gohan: my mom said it looked nice

The response causing Bulma and Krillin to laugh while Y/N let out a small smile before things go back to a comfortable silence as Gohan and Krillin are image training while Bulma reads a book and Y/N just eats

After a couple hours Y/N gets an idea

Y/N: hey, Bulma

Causing her to look up from her book and turn to Y/N

Y/N: do we have one of those safety tethers

Bulma: yeah, why

Y/N: I'm going to train outside, I'm going to train outside, I'll try dodging asteroids and other space junk

This catches the attention of Gohan and Krillin who have just finished their image training

Krillin: I'll get you a space suit

Y/N: no need, but do you have any weighted clothing

Krillin: I have some weighted wrist and headbands

Y/N: that'll do

Gohan: but where will you attach the safety tether to

Y/N thinks for a bit before responding
