Bella ended up back in camp, and before Chiron could possibly question her, Mr. D ordered her to go to the Infirmary and get seen to. Bella was lead to the Infirmary by Luke and Clarisse, whom overheard some of what was said between Poseidon and Bella.

"Do you wanna talk about your Daddy issues?" Clarisse asked as Luke helped her lie down

"Nope. I want whichever Apollo kid is here to get me something for the pain." Bella groaned slightly as she laid in bed

Luke chuckled before going to get Will. After Bella was healed up, the campers came around and carried Bella and Percy over to the camp fire where they proceeded to burn the cloaks that were made for them and hand them the camp bead that was decided on. Percy's cloak was made by the Athena cabin. It was a sea green silk with a golden triton on it. Thankfully Bella's cloak was made by the Hermes cabin. It had a gorgeous emerald green silk covered in silk flowers that looked like belladonnas. It also had glitter dashed on it from the Aphrodite cabin, some red embellishments from Ares cabin, and metal work from Hephaestus cabin. Bella laughed and claimed she loved it and Percy and Bella had a picture taken with their cloaks for Bella's journal. Everyone laughed and had fun for the last few days of camp. Finally the time came for everyone to leave but Percy made a hard decision about leaving and had already talked to his mom about it.

"Bella, I'm going to spend the rest of the year here." Percy said making Bella freeze

Sally smiled sadly but understood it. Percy wasn't like Bella, who could flourish in either world. The camp was a sanctuary for someone like Percy.

"What?!" Bella gasped in shock

"Come on, Bella. You know I'm not made for the world out there." Percy said

"You have some trouble in school but you never know the next one could be different." Bella said as she began to realize that Percy was very serious about staying

"Yea but we both know that it won't. Just like we both know that at the end of every year that I have to switch schools that you go to Mom for you to switched too. That is not fair to you, Bella. I've found where I finally belong, Bella. Besides Dad said that he'll be teaching me more about the Atlantean way of life. You can't stand that." Percy said

"So...what about your education? What about mom? What about me? You're cutting us out?!" Bella said feeling betrayed

"NO. I won't. I will come and visit mom all the time. Chiron said he can get me enrolled in online school so I can keep up with my education. I need this, Bella. Please understand, Bella." Percy begged his twin

Bella stared at him hard but buried the pain deep and hugged her brother. Percy didn't hear himself say it but she did. He would visit Sally all the time but he didn't say her. Percy was many things but a liar wasn't one of them. He tended to avoid speaking a lie. Percy was a master of omission of a lie.

"I'll see you next summer then, Percy. Mom, I'll wait in the car." Bella said and refused to look back as she left even as Percy called for her

"Mom..." Percy started

"It will be okay, honey. She just needs to come to terms that you guys are on separate paths now." Sally said before hugging Percy and leaving

Sally got in the car but didn't say anything as she drove them back to their newly renovated apartment. Gabe had been found in the Hudson river with his fingers cut off and castrated according to the newspaper that was stuck on the fridge. Sally had asked the men who renovated why, but they looked at her pityingly and refused to answer when they realized she had no idea. Bella read the page over and over again while her mother wasn't looking before deciding to go to someone she knew to get a tattoo. She decided on her hip

The man worked for the same people Gabe stole from and did the tattoo for free knowing its meeting

The man worked for the same people Gabe stole from and did the tattoo for free knowing its meeting. Bella came home a week later and her mom wanted to talk about Percy.

"He made his choice, Mom. I'll now only get to see him in the summer. He abandoned me. Life goes on." Bella said as she did the dishes

"It isn't like that, honey." Sally tried

"Isn't it though, Mom?! We have gone up against everything together. We have gone up against monsters, Gabe, bullies, etc. Now what? We get older and life supposedly just changes. You don't outgrow your twin like some old sneakers, Mom. He got new friends, new life, and a new home and moved on while putting me on the shelf. The worse part is I saw it coming. So... why does it hurt so frecking much?!" Bella said as she began to sob and her mom could only hold her

Sally knew that Bella was not going to take this well just as she didn't when she found out about Poseidon being married and leaving. Being left behind by those you love most hurt especially when you see signs of it coming hurts so much but she couldn't blame Percy for this. Percy always struggled in the normal world. He had his father's temper and looks while Bella was slow to temper like her mother and looked like her with her fathers green eyes when he is passionate about something. His eyes would sparkle an emerald green when talking of saving the sea. Bella eventually stopped crying and proceeded to act like it didn't happen. As time went Bella refused to mention Percy. Bella became a true workaholic. Bella was accepted into Meriwether College Prep. She was in some of the hardest classes, but if she remained in the top five percent, she could get a full ride to NYU. It was her dream school. She had already been seen by the dean before who brought her recommended paperwork before the scholarship committee. Sally at first felt like Bella was pushing herself too hard until she realized that Bella would be doing online classes and skyping with professors to avoid going to campus. Bella said it was to keep the monster situation from off campus which was fine for Sally. The jobs she was still working knew they were going to lose their best worker when she got in but gave glowing recommendations. Bella thanked them and prepared to take Meriwether by storm. They were the last stepping stone to get into NYU at the age of  17 years old.

AN: I will be working on a sequel soon. Thanks and lots of love guys
