98. Protect You

Tzuyu's PoV

"You're Chou Tzuyu?"

I am still here in the office as this guy told me to stay. It's been minutes since Y/N left with her mom and the others.

I don't even know these two guys. That's why I stay alert if anything happens.

"Yes. Why?" I asked.

"What exactly do you want? I added.

"Jun, you can talk to her outside. Be sure to train her well." That other guy said who's sitting on the principal's chair.

"Follow me." He said as he looked at me blankly.

I don't have a choice but to do what he said. We walked out of the office and we headed somewhere else.

"Who are you? What do you need from me?" I asked.

I'm pretty sure he needs something. He could just ask someone else to stay.

"I'm just like you." He shortly said which made me frown.

It took a little while when I realized what he meant.

"You're a werewolf too?"

"Yeah... And we're not just same kind. I'm your mother's younger brother. We're related."

"Are you serious?" I asked as I looked at him.

"I am... It's been five years since I joined this project. I found out that my sister was part of this too. And before she died, she had you."

"But... Granny doesn't mention anything about you. Even my dad."

"Your dad doesn't care about my sister. And her mother... I happened to meet her once. And I told her I was your mother's brother."

"Does the principal know?"

"All of them."

"Why are you here?" I asked.

"I'm here to train you. I found out that you and your friends will be leading the whole school to end the vampires' bloodline."

"Are there more of us?" I asked curiously.

"As far as I known, it's just the two of us."

I just nodded as I tried to put everything in one to process it.

"You're probably tired. I'll talk to you tomorrow. Go here before the sunrise so we could start our practice."

"Wait. I have to ask you something." I said which made him stop.

I think it's time for me to know something about my own family.

"I want to know all the information you know about this school and about my mother. That's the only way I could trust you." I said.

"Where do you want to start?"

"In the beginning."

He sighed as he looked around as if cheking on something. He then signaled me to come to him so I did. We ended up in the library and it's pretty quiet in here as it's already closed.

"Stay here." He said.

I sat on the chair as I eyed him wherever he goes. He then comeback with some books with him.

"I guess it's safe to start about what we are. I know you already studied about our kind but I still have things to tell you."

"I'm listening."

"We werewolves are the secone oldest mythical creature. Next to the bloodline of vampires. Unlike vampires, we age like the humans. But it was first announced that vampires bloodline ended long time ago. That's because of the war that werewolves and human worked on to defeat them. Until time had passed, werewolves clan ended... And so they thought. Aside from your mom, I was able to keep myself out of everyone's sight. I lived alone. Away fron this civilization."

"You never met my mom?"

"Your mom and I grew up far from each other. I lived with our mom, while your mom lived with our father. When our mom died, I decided to look for your mother. But I was late. I found out that there's a school for like us. But I also found out that they don't accept werewolves nor vampires even if they assume we are no longer existing."

"How did you know about the school?"

"I worked hard. I worked under the government and found out there's a secret association which is this. Then I met Ijun."

"Y/N's mom."

"Yes. She helped me to work under the association too."

"Does it mean she knew that I am related to you?" I asked.

"Of course. Your mom and Ijun are best friends. They studied here at the same year. They only got separated after graduation. I guess their next meeting was when Ijun is already a teacher here and the long term project was made."

"But... I don't remember her telling me that."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah. As far as I know she knows granny. Even granny didn't mention alot about my mom."

"Well at least now you know."

I remained silent as I tried to recall everything but I really can't remember any single moment that Y/N's mom mentioned about my mother. Or even her relationship with my mom. She could have told me that she knows my mom very well.

All I know was she met my mom because of the project. But I didn't expect they know each other so much.

"It's late, go back to your room and see me tomorrow here. Don't be late." He said and left me standing at the hallway.

I stood there as I started to analyze everything happened today. It's too much to process.

First is this school. I admit first I think this is just some ordinary school. But then when I realized I'm just like them, I realized that it's a cool place for me.

But now, I'm having second thoughts.

It's nothing but a training ground to improve our control of powers. They were afraid that we'll use it for normal people. And now, they want us to use our powers to save them...

We're nothing but a weapon for their safety.

I snapped back and realized that I'm already outside our room. I opened the door slowly and saw Y/N already sleeping on her bed.

I walked to her bed carefully as I don't want to wake her up. I sat on the side of her bed and watched her sleeping soundly.

After all of this moment, since I got here... I'm sure that's the only good thing that happened was when I met Y/N and I fell for her. It is so great to feel this way even if the only thing that's true and sure is her.

"Tzuyu?"

"Hey... Did I wake you up?" I asked as she stared at me with sleepy and tired eyes.

She sat up and reached for my hand, taking it to her lips and showering it with kisses.

"I kinda sense you're here." She said which made me chuckled.

"I missed this. I hope it'll be forever like this." She whispered.

I sighed and scooted next to her, leaving our fingers intertwined.

"I miss this too. But we promised, right? Everything will be okay." I said looking at our fingers.

"What if it's not? What if... We're too weak to end this? I just want to run away if it's possible. With mom... With our friends... With you. Just like before all of these."

"But you know it's impossible, right. That's why we have to do our best. Even at the very last 'what if.'"

I stared at Y/N as she was also looking at our hands. She went silent after what I said, but I know she's still awake.

I turned her head up to me and met her teary eyes. For the first time, I saw the scares in her eyes. I've always known her as a strong and fearless person. Which made me fall for her even more. But this time, I know that she's scared but instead of a change of feelings towards her, I felt a different feeling.

"I know you're scared. And it's totally okay. I will never change my mind and keep saying you're the most fearless person I've met. I'll do everything to protect you."
