USUALLY LILY WASNT ONE TO FOLLOW ALONG WITH ANY TRENDING PRANKS. HOWEVER, KNOWING THAT DEREK WASNT THAT UPDATED ON SOCIAL MEDIA, and the fact that this is a harmless prank where no one gets physically hurt or anything- she thought it would be something she could try on Derek
Their relationship was going amazingly well, to a point where she knew doing this prank wouldn't put them both on strain, so she decided to do it
Lily didn't have a ginourmous following on social media, but she's had quite a few viral videos and enough followers to where they can give her requests on her videos. This one was given by a fan and she was intrigued
She set up 2 cameras. One in their bedroom and one in the living room
Derek had helped the sheriff with something that day, and once that ended he went back to his place and watched a few movies until Lily came back from hanging out with her friends so they could cuddle, watch some more shows and go to sleep
But when Lily got back from her hangout with her friends she seemed kind of distant
It was quite late by the time she got home, so she decided to go straight into the prank
She half greeted Derek as she walked into their room, which confused him slightly as she usually kissed him once she got in. But he didn't think to much of it
She got dressed into her pyjamas but when she made no attempt to climb into bed with Derek he frowned turning to her
"I'm not really in the mood to watch something. I think I'm just going to go to sleep" she muttered and he nodded
"Of course. We don't have to watch anything baby" he moved over and patted the bed for her but she still didn't go inside
"Derek. I think I'm going to sleep on the couch tonight" she had never seen Derek so alarmed before. His eyes snapped up to hers so quick
"What?"
"I just feel like we need the distance. It's just tonight"
"Why? Why don't you want to sleep with me?" Lily let out a small smile and turned her body so he couldn't see, making her way to the living room but once she got there she didn't even realise Derek was right behind her already
"You're not staying down here. You're sleeping with me"
"No Derek" she sighed, hiding her smile when he lifted her up in a hug. He squeezed her tight, not enough to hurt her, before putting her down
"Come up to bed with me baby" she shook her head, trying her hardest to ignore the frown on his face "Fine" he huffed. He picked her up once again and placed both him and her on the couch, then he grabbed a blanket that was behind and put it over the other of them
"Derek what are you doing?" She questioned confused
"I'm not sleeping without you" he mumbled making her let out a loud laugh "What?" He grumbled
"Let me up for a second" he frowned but listened not wanting to be to pushy with her "You see that over there?" He looked to where she was pointing which was beside the tv and he noticed a camera there "I was pranking you derek" he let out a large sigh and pulled her back into his embrace
"You're evil" she let out a loud laugh and kissed his collarbone, then his lips
"You didn't kiss me when you got home" he grumbled, rolling his eyes ans she smiled kissing him again
"Im sorry"
"Can we go to bed now?"
"Yes. We can" he got up, carrying Lily with him and as she passed the tv she picked up the camera, turning it off
"I love you, you know that?" She questioned and Derek smiled as he continued up to their room, turning the last camera off
