Valentina couldn't help but laugh at this proposal, it had been ten years since she had even touched a sabre, plus his proposition just sounded silly in general. Once she was done laughing, she looked at Klaude to see that his expression was unwavering. Valentina got her composure back and asked, "Why do you want to teach me fencing again? You know how bad I was last time."

Klaude couldn't help but laugh for a moment too, he knew his proposal was outlandish but he knew what he was also about to say was just as peculiar, "It was the only thing that actually made me happy."

Valentina took this information in for a moment, realizing what he had just said her eyes widened a little as memories of fencing raced through her mind.

"Are you serious? I thought you hated teaching me."

"Why would I? I mean you were horrible at fencing but it was always funny to watch." Klaude laughed once the sentence came out his mouth. As much as Valentina tried to be mad she couldn't help but smile.

"Fine. But, I only want to do it for eight weeks." Valentina bargained.

"Alright, but if you like it will you keep doing it?" Klaude asked

"...Sure..." Valentina paused before she finished, "But I doubt I will!"

Klaude smiled slightly before he looked around, "Oh wow, you didn't lock us in this time." He said as he grabbed his backpack and walked out.

"For the last time, I did not do that!" Valentina said as she ran to catch up.

The two walked together through the hallways that were somehow still crowded even after their long conversation. When Valentina had reached her bus Klaude had stopped too and handed out his phone to her.

"Put in your number," he said.

Valentina took the phone but questioned, "why?"

"So that I can text you when I want to practice fencing, what, do you not want my number?" Klaude pondered.

"Of course I do!" Valentina hastily said as she quickly added her number.

Klaude chuckled, "Sounds like you've always wanted my number."

Valentina shook her head as she backed away from him and onto the bus, "I'd never!"

Valentina walked onto the bus and sat down at her seat, as her bus took off she couldn't help but look at Klaude as he made his way to his car. Somehow, he knew she was staring and he looked back. Valentina turned quickly, trying not to make it obvious. Her phone suddenly dings, she looks down and sees it's from Klaude. Somehow he managed to add himself as a contact and added his photo in. Valentina rolled her eyes as she opened up the notification. Valentina read, I can see you staring at me. Valentina could feel her cheeks start to flush as she stared at the message. Valentina could only respond, I think you were seeing things. She waited eagerly for a response. As much as she wanted to ignore it, she couldn't help but keep checking her phone. She still had gotten no answer by the time she went home. Valentina laid on her bed, waiting for a response.

3:00 AM. That was the time that jumped out at her when she checked her alarm clock. She sat up quickly, "How could it be 3:00 AM!? I only slept for like one hour!" She thought. She checked her phone, 2 messages had been sent to her, one sent at 5:47, and another sent at 9:25. Valentina opened her phone to see they were both from Klaude. She read the first one, Sure. Just like how you didn't lock us in the art room. She scowled at this, how long will he keep bringing that up? Valentina read the second one, No response, and here I was thinking you were obsessed with me. Valentina looked at this message for a little, was he being serious? No, he must be joking, these were just some of the thoughts that went through her mind. She responded back to the first message, When will you stop bringing that up? She quickly sent out the message but stared at the second message. Maybe it was the sleep deprivation or the brightness blinding her eyes, but for a reason unknown to even herself, Valentina wrote back, What makes you think I'm obsessed with you? Why she chose to entertain this outlandish claim was something she did not previously ponder. Surprisingly, she got a reply. First, you said you have been waiting for me for 10 years, and second, why the fuck are you up at 3 AM? Valentina immediately remembered when she whispered she was waiting for him, he didn't think she meant it, did he? She responded back swiftly, FIRST, that was a heat of the moment response, I was doing other things besides waiting for you. AND SECOND, I should be asking why YOU'RE up at 3AM. I woke up from a nap. Valentina answered quickly, but Klaude answered quicker: A 9h nap?  Valentina laughed at this response and typed back, No?? What makes you think it was 9 hrs? Klaude responded, I just counted the hours from the time I sent my text to the time you responded. As Valentina read the text, she realized that she had, in fact, sleep for 9+ hours. She sat up straight and pondered what she'd do to fill the next 3 hours of time she had before she had to wake up. Valentina responded back, I just realized that I did, in fact sleep 9 hours. I'm just gonna scroll on my phone for 3 hours, I can't believe this- You should go to bed though. Klaude wrote back, Yeah, I don't want to look like a zombie when I walk into school. Valentina stared at this for a moment, then typed back hastily, Is that what you're implying I'll look like? The chat went silent for a moment, but then, Klaude responded, Goodnight, Valentina. Valentina sat there with a shocked expression, she quickly wrote back, NAHHHH YOU CAN'T DO THAT- KLAUDE COME BACK. Valentina waited 5 minutes, those 5 minutes turned to 10 and those 10 turned into 30. She realized that he wasn't responding. She looked at the message one more time and rolled her eyes.
