A.N: we got taegyu pictures wtf :_)) also happy tyun day <333

Mondays sucked. It wasn't a secret, or an opinion. It was a universally acknowledged fact.

Therefore, Beomgyu didn't know why he thought a Monday at an Ancient Greek offspring boarding school would be any better.

It was always the little things. He'd forgotten a paintbrush in art, so he had to borrow one from Hyunjin. He couldn't remember how to treat an open wound on the throat in Medicinal Studies. Glaring at Soobin, who was laughing silently in the corner, didn't help him remember. They both knew he didn't need to know it. He could just heal himself, why did he need to take that class?

Finally, just now. He was pleading with Jisung to take him out on the lake. He wanted to be in or on the water at least once, and who better than Poseidon's son? But the boy refused.

"It's not even in my schedule! When am I ever supposed to go by myself?"

"I can't, Beomgyu. I'm sorry."

"What's worse is that you won't tell me why." Jisung shrugged. "Because."

Beomgyu groaned and threw his head in his hands. "Well that clears it up! You've betrayed me, truly. This is unforgivable."

Jisung sighed. "It's not that I don't want to, trust me." He hesitated before saying, "Minho's there."

Beomgyu frowned from his spot standing on the porch of Jisung's cabin. Sure enough, there was Minho. Standing on the dock, looking around for someone.

He sighed, feeling slightly guilty. "No, it's fine I get it. But as payback for ruining my day," he smiled so the boy would know he was kidding, "I'm coming over tonight and you're telling me exactly what's going on between you two."

He'd already asked Yeonjun every day, but the boy simply kept saying "It's not my place to tell." Beomgyu respected it, but it made his own curiosity agonizing.

Jisung looked startled, and considered it for a long time. Beomgyu thought for a second that he'd rather take him on the lake, before the boy said "Okay. Fine. I'll tell you tonight."

Beomgyu rejoiced and hugged him, before bouncing off to the lake. Even if he couldn't go on the water, he wanted to watch.

He passed a rather disappointed looking Minho, and smiled at him. If melting a supposedly cold exterior worked on Taehyun, maybe it would work on him.

It didn't, however. Minho simply looked at Beomgyu and asked if he'd seen Jisung. Not wanting to betray his friend, he shook his head apologetically. Minho sighed and nodded, before walking away.

Yeah. Beomgyu would need a full explanation for that mess.

Just when he was about to take a spot at a picnic bench directly in front of the lake, he spotted Taehyun on the one next to it. His heart did a funny thing as he watched the boy, who was sitting on the table and scribbling away in a notebook.

What the hell? What's the worst that could happen?

He jumped up onto the bench as Taehyun startled, clutching his chest. "Jesus."

Beomgyu frowned. "Wouldn't you guys say 'Achilles' or something?"

Please laugh, please laugh.

The grin that Taehyun emitted was enough for him.

"What are you doing?" Beomgyu inquired as he glanced down to the notebook. Taehyun immediately slammed it shut and shoved it into his bag, much to Beomgyu's disappointment. "Uh. Nothing. Just, staring at the water. You know."
