Before they grab me I pull out my
phone and type in the first number
that comes to mind, I figure my fate
will be better with him than here

He answers the phone, second ring
and then I hear "Who is this?"

He sounds so mad, I almost
laugh at his "casual" voice

"It's me," I whisper, crawling into
a small coat closet, hoping they won't
check it, if I'm being realistic
it's one of the first places they'll look

I don't know what I'm expecting, but I
hope he reacts the same way he
did the first time I called him like this.

The phone goes dead silent, I'm not sure if
he's giving orders or if he wants me to hang
up, normally he'd ask me to
wait but nothing about us is really normal.

I hear him inhale an unsteady breath.
Is he crying or jerking off? He hangs up
and the closet door opens

My luck isn't really there.

Before everyone tells me that I'm rich,
spoiled, blah, blah, blah,
let me describe my past few days,

Cold, gross, unsanitary, blood, bodies,
vomit, feces, moldy food, dead animals,
chains, rope, no bed, buckets for toilets,
no sink, some food, just bread though,
people getting beaten right next to you,

Others getting assaulted in many different ways such as; tooth pulling, nail pulling, nailing into skin, skin ripping and cutting, broken bones, burning, stabbing, scratching, biting oddly enough, smashing multiple things, sexual assault, mental torture of
any kind, drowning, and so much more.

I have no idea what they plan on doing to
me. I try not to think about it but it's kind
of impossible. They don't even know
my name, I barely got to speak because the second I said "Ethan Donovan"
