"A Heart in Pieces"
My heart is shattered, and my soul is torn,
A million pieces scattered, never to be reborn.
I thought we had forever, but forever is gone,
Leaving me to wonder, where did I go wrong?
The memories we made, are now but a dream,
And the love we shared, a forgotten theme.
The laughter and the joy, now just a distant sound,
Leaving me with emptiness, that can never be found.
I thought we were strong, and our love would endure,
But I was wrong, and now I'm feeling so unsure.
The future I imagined, is now just a mirage,
Leaving me with nothing, but tears on my page.
But though my heart is broken, I'll try to carry on,
With the pieces I have left, and the memories we've grown.
I'll find a way to mend, this broken heart of mine,
And build a new tomorrow, that will be truly divine.
