" Vareya hurry! The Tulkuns have returned, the Tulkuns have returned!"

Vareya awoke in a startle, her ears immediately being filled with numerous distant laughing, cheering, and yelling.

Yet the one that bothered her the most was the one coming from the young Metkayina boy in front of her, his smile brighter than the sun beaming down on her.

At some point during her nap in a self made hammock near the ocean, the sun shifted so the bright gleam was hitting her directly in the face, she was confused as to how she wasn't awoken earlier.

Yet she supposed she had gotten used to it, for she could have napped in her families well shaded Mauri, still nothing was better than laying on the well made hammock Vareya and Kai made themselves.

She groaned and faced away from the boy, mumbling into her now burning hot arm, " They will be back again just like they always are, I'm too tired now so just go alone Kai."

" No way Vareya, c'mon let's go! You know you want to see them too, stop being so stubborn."

Before Vareya had a chance to respond, she suddenly felt herself spinning then roughly face planting on the white sand.

She lifted her head slowly, spitting out the remainder of crystal sand grains from her mouth before clenching her hands and whispering deathly quite, " You're dead."

Kai sarcastically screamed in a high pitched tone then began laughing. His smile immediately fell though, when Vareya began running at him full speed.

She tackled him to the ground, both Na'vi children becoming a blur of blue bodies growling and hissing playfully, before tiredly laying next to each other, trying to catch their breaths.

They turned their heads to face each other, both of their faces hurting from smiling so much. The joy that radiated from these two young Na'vi was something visible to the entire clan.

The two young rascals, always laughing, making trouble, but most importantly- always together.

Vareya stood first, offering a hand to Kai which he gladly accepted, but the moment he was back on his feet, she threw him down.

When he looked up confused, she answered with her feet already turned to run, " Race you there!"

Vareya could hear Kai growl from behind her followed by a, " Skxawng!"

She only picked up her pace, feeling the sand pick up behind her with every step, the ocean wind blowing her hair into a frenzy, and the beautiful sunlight radiating off her already burning skin.

She howled with joy at the sight of the Tulkun. The large mammals jumping in and out of the lucid waters, the soul sisters and brothers rejoicing in a long awaited gathering.

Vareya made a clicking but throaty sound to call on her ilu as she dove in the icy cool ocean. Feeling refreshed as the waters engulfed her body completely.

She heard a loud splash above her as her ilu came paired with another. Once both of them were secured on the sea creatures, they took off towards the celebration.

Kai stuck out his tongue at Vareya as he sped passed her, and she could only bare her teeth at his back before urging her ilu on.

As they swam past all the reefs wildlife, Veraya still had her breath taken away at the beauty despite living here for as long as she can remember.
