My fingers slip as I grab onto the rusted metal and I start to fall, but Henry grabs my hand pulling me back up. "Thanks." I say, grabbing onto the metal for dear life. At this point it seemed like we had been climbing forever and I had fallen 23 times not that I had been counting, but Henry had. "Make that 24 times."
I watch from below him as he pulls himself up into the Ferris wheel seat.
As I reach out my hand Henry grabs it making sure I don't fall.
After I get situated in the seat Henry says, "just watch."
Suddenly I'm very aware of the dirty rubber seat underneath me. " Henry did we really have to come up here? I prefer not to catch ai-" Henry cuts me off by putting his hand over my mouth causing me to stop talking.
Once he takes his hand off my mouth I take a deep breath and sweep the imaginary dirt off my lap, "did you-" I cut myself off once I look up at the sky.
The sight In front of me is beautiful blue and red fireworks lit up the sky with a boom before desecrating into the darkness.
Henry slips his hand into mine. I look up to smile and him to find him looking back at me.
He places his other hand on my cheek, leaning in. I can feel his hot breath on my face but it's gone once his lips collide with mine. I slip my hand around the back of his neck pulling him in closer.
The kiss felt like it went on for eternity, but only seconds at the same time.
He pulls back, smiling at me. "We should probably get down."
