Paws padding against the floor, Altair ran towards the back doors. Seeing they were closed, he let out a loud howl. A few seconds later, a familiar light brown wolf broke through the window. She landed on the floor and stared at the incoming werewolf.
Without a moment wasted, Altair jumped through the opening. As he did, Evangeline looked at the female wolf. She recalled that Altair had called her Mikah. She looked back when they were outside. Mikah was following.
However, a dark figure behind said wolf caught her attention instead. Her eyes widened. "Altair!" She warned. It was the female vampire from before. He looked back as well before facing forward again. He picked up his speed.
Soon, more wolves started joining them while running through the snowy forest. Evangeline could feel her heart racing.
I actually haven't written in this book since February 26th and I need a break so hiatus for now!
