The heterochromia boy looked at his own reflection in the mirror. The eyes, face, and hair seemed to be familiar yet so different. ̶w̶̶h̶̶o̶ ̶a̶̶m̶ ̶i̶ . There's never been a time he was so confused like now.
Deep inside the purple and yellow eye...
How should he put a word in this situation? Just a few seconds before he was just lying in his room, making the most of his summer vacation chilling, the very next moment he was in front of a strange creature in a vest in an office.
It seemed he was transported, but to where was unknown. His chest tightened up and he felt his heart beat fast. What if he was caught? He was just a young demon, what should he do? Panic filled him.
He was confused and disoriented.
"What'shvdjyourcjfvnamedjfi?" He heard somedevil or something babbled
A strange language? He instantly casted language translation magic.
"What's your name?" A strange short creature in vest said again, "I'm Lied" He answered timidly.
"Nezu is my name". The there was no reply for some seconds that made Lied fidgety as he looked at this 'Nezu' being.
The creature slowly approached. Now he could see the being clearly. He was a short and small ... animal? Lied thought.
He was a small animal-like creature with a mouse-like head, black eyes, and a scar over his right eye. He wore a white dress shirt, tie, waistcoat, pants, and orange sneakers with thick soles.
'How strange' he thought again. Then he noticed something else about the being; why he was so smiley? His smile made him feel unease.
'What kind of demon is he, or is he even a demon?' Lied thought. "What does this transport mean? If you kidnap me to blackmail my family, then you're wrong. My sister only spends money on cosmetic and men" He alertly stuttered.
"Hahaha, you misunderstood." That didn't make him feel any better.
"So, you're the demon whose bloodline is famous for spying and info hunting, right?"
He said slowly. "Yes, I am, I'm the controller demon." Lied replied softly.
Nezu "Good, then tell me, Lied the demon...." he raised his hand? Paw? For handshake "...would you like to make a contract with me?"
"What???" Lied was taken aback.
Could he even make a contract with him? A being he's pretty sure was not a familiar, not even know if he's a demon. His gut told him this Nezu was neither.
Nezu chuckled, retracted his hand "My bad, you know nothing and here am I requesting a contract". Lied was left feeling even more disoriented and unsure of what was happening.
Nezu went to sit on the sofa and hinted at Lied to sit opposite. He did as so.
As Lied tried to make sense of the situation, he couldn't help but wonder what Nezu wanted from him. Lied knew he had to tread carefully and figure out what Nezu's true intentions were.
"I was so nervously looking forward to meeting you – another demon beside my demon friend."
"Wait,.. Am I...not in ...demon world?" Lied whimpered
"Unfortunately, that's the situation."
Nezu slowly took a sip of tea like he did not drop a bombshell.
"This is the human world, but unlike what you usually heard or taught. To be precise, this is human world 100 years from one you were taught. Your documents are out of date, at least your world has the other world documents while mine doesn't."
"For the reason why you are here, it was me who asked Principle Sullivan for a demon."
"What???"
"I need a demon who can hunt info for me. Coincidentally, you need a training course to keep your rank. Principle Sullivan said that you can train and work under me for a few years. It's a win-win situation for us."
"Then what about my friends, family, my study in Babylus?" It was almost too much to bear.
"Worry not, as the time between two world is different, years that you will spend here will be just like days in demon world with Principle Sullivan's magic."
The asmosphere was heavy again. Was he going to stuck here for years straght? In human world? Without his friends, family? Devi, he started to missed them so much.
"Let's move on, shall we? As i mention before, this is your temporary world, human world 100 years later."
"It's just 100 years late, nothing changes much, right?" Lied can't be sad forever, he needs to receive information about this world in order to survive.
"Hahaha, not with the 100 most tumultuous years in human history. 100 years ago quirk appeared and made the world upside down. Well, a Quirk is a term for the superhuman abilities that some people possess. Basically, human can do things used to be thought impossible. Element control, transform, superpower, and quirk is still evolving everyday."
"It sounds like human have magic like us demon." Lied might be weak in Balam-sensei's class. But he definitely sure human hold no power compared to demon.
"You can say that's true, but human possess only one or rarely two quirks. While demon can learn and use many magic, quirk is more like Bloodline Magic."
And then Nezu went on talking about the human world, about the hero and the villain, about the quirk restriction law, about society, and the hero school.
"I'm the principle of the Hero school – UA, I may have plenty resource and allies but still I need your power to protect our young aspiring heroes." This time Nezu didn't smile and spoke in a serious tone.
Lied was not sure about his usefulness in this situation. Could he really give a hand or hinder everyone?
Then again Nezu raised his paw for handshake "Would you, Shax Lied, make a contact with me?"
Why and how he could place so much trust on me on a mission like that?

This could be a fun quest, after all, I risked my life for the thrill of all-in.
