TEMPEST POV

The days have gone by in what seems like a blink of an eye, and February is finally coming to an end. Tomorrow makes March 1st and all I have to show for February is the amount of work I have done.

If I keep this pace going then three years will fly by just as quick as two years did with Zyus. I hate to admit it but I have actually been enjoying the process.

I always enjoyed myself when it comes to technology but constantly waking up and going to sleep on this estate was the tough part. However and by surprise and maybe because Marcellus has been gone for the remainder of February,  it has actually been going better. It helps me not want to jump off a fucking balcony every five seconds.

I have been on this estate for two months now and it feels like I've been here for much longer. A true entrapment. Being held against my will to work.

Nonetheless, good thing I'm doing something I love doing which I guess also contributes to why February just flew by.

Dinner has been served and everyone was talking and enjoying the meal for the night, Gia and Gabby explained dinner to be called Chicken Cacciatore which is chicken thighs cooked in tomato sauce with mushrooms and herbs with garlic bread on the side. I have never been a fan of mushrooms but surprisingly it's quite tasteful.

I focus back on the conversation listening to them discuss their excitement for the Horse Race tournament which seems to be all they have been talking about lately, hell the entire February seems like has been all about the Horse Race Tournament.

"Tempest I can't wait for you to experience it." Gabby mentioned to me. I gently wiped my mouth with the napkin as I finished the food that was in my mouth. "I hope it lives up to the excitement and standard that you have been holding it to. All of you actually, it's all you all have been talking about." I pointed out with a bit of a scoffing tone.

Nino chuckled "Let's just say it's definitely a family favorite." he smirked before taking another spoon full of food in his mouth.

Oh, I bet it is, it's going to be so much money on this estate, not even an financial analyst would be able to calculate. I thought to myself.

I softly let out a laugh "Oh I bet it is with the amount of traffic that's been going on, from the sounds of mowers I've heard every single day this week, to the harsh sounds of water against the outside of this building from the person pressure washing. It seems like the only quietness I have gotten so far is when I am in the technology building." I mentioned making them softly laugh

"Speaking of technology building, Are you going to the technology building tonight?" Sapphire asked causing me to put my attention on her. I softly exhale as I began to feel as full as a stuffed chicken. I shook my head "No, I have done all I could for now." I informed her softly exhaling from immense sadness.

She smiled "Good cause it seems as though we've only been able to catch you at breakfast and dinner." she pointed out. I let out a soft laugh "I mean It's work." I summarized.

For the remainder of dinner somehow the conversation reverted back to the March madness and all of the duties they have to prepare for and have been preparing for which caused me to zone out of the conversation.

Eventually and once they were done convulsing in code over the amount of money they are going to make in March, dinner came to an end and we were dismissed. Everyone went their separate ways except Sapphire who followed me up to my room and we made it inside, I watched as she plopped down on my bed. "It seems like it's been forever since I've been in here, a lot has changed." She mentioned as she began to look around my room.
