I walked on the boat and looked around. "Ward?" I asked. Ward wanted to meet me. Rafe and I had started dating for a while and I was a pogue. He was not happy especially since I was a Routledge.
"I'm here." I walked up to the deck and saw Ward steering the yacht. "I just wanted to bond with you. Plus today you seem to better. You were throwing up for the past few days and truth be told we all were worried." He said with a smile. " Really?" I asked confused. "Yes. I know I was a little worried before but, Rafe really likes you and I can see it on your face you're really serious about how you feel about him. Plus this is a lovely to celebrate the two of you together and your good health." "I am really happy with Rafe and I want to make sure he is happy too." He nods his head. "I'll go check the scuba gear." He says. "Why?" I asked confused. "So that we can go diving. I know some good spots. Rafe loved it as a kid." "He never mentioned it." My phone rings and I look at it. "Oh no phones during bonding time." Ward says smiling and taking my phone. I smile at him back but, I see the caller was JJ and I had texted from the rest of the pogues including my brother. I shrug it off thinking they found the treasure. I hadn't hung out with them in a few days because I wanted to really improve and focus on studies. Since we are living with the Camerons I was also hanging out with Rafe a lot.

Ward doesn't come for a while and I didn't really need to steer. I hear shouts. I walk to the edge and see the pogues. Why were they here? JJ is the first one that screams, "Allora get out now!" "Why?" "Get out!" Sara screams, "He is going to hurt you. He is running away." I look worried. I turn around and see Ward standing there in scuba gear. "Sorry, but this is a payback to your brother and your family. Plus you aren't right for the family." He handcuffs me to the railing. "Allora!" I hear them scream my name. "Hope you don't blow up." Ward smirks, "Who am I kidding? You're going to die pogue." He chuckles before diving.

"NO!" I SCREAM AT THE TOP OF MY LUNGS.

I pull at the handcuff but it doesn't work. I am going to die. I feel the burn from the cuffs and my eyes burn with my tears. I tug it. I close my eyes and tug thumb. I cry out in pain as I hold my dislocated thumb. I run to the side and pogues are screaming worried about me. Just as I am about to jump. The ship blows and throws me into the water. I fall in with a pain in my head. As I land in the water my eyes become blurry and my head throbs. Soon I see the dark start to surround me from the corner of my eyes.

I open my eyes and see John B and JJ sleeping on either side of the bed. I hear the steady beeping and squint at the flourocent lights above. I hear the door open and a lady walks in. "How you feeling sweety?" She asks softly. "Like I got blown up and put back together. What happened to me?" I am. "Ward Cameron tried to kill you." I hear JJ say. "What?" "Ward Cameron tried to kill you. He handcuffed you to the railing of the yacht and blew it up trying to kill both of you." John B says with a hard look.
He door opened and Shoupe walked in. "We need to ask you a few questions." "I don't think now's the best time." JJ answered him. "It's okay it won't take long right?" I ask. John B and JJ were asked to step out. "Yes."
"Did you know that Ward killed the sheriff?" I shook my head. "What were you really doing on that boat?" "Ward had asked me to meet him there. When I reached he said he wanted to bond because I am dating Rafe and he took my phone, said no mobile during the bonding time. He wanted to take me diving. But when I saw the pogues screaming at me too get off; I turned around to see him with this evil look in his eyes and he told me that I was no good for Rafe before he handcuffed me." I answered. "If he did that, he might have also wanted to cause harm to the baby." "What?" I whispered. "You do know you are pregnant right?" The nurse asked. I shook my head. "When was the time you had your periods?" "Two months ago but, I assumed it got delayed because I was down with the stomach bug." "Well let me tell you something. It wasn't a bug. Ah doctor Sloan." "I suppose you are aware that you had a concussion, but you were saved from drowning and that you have a dislocated thumb, a fractured wrist?" I nod my head. " Uhmmm, are you also aware you are pregnant?" " Yes the nurse just informed me." "Well I just spoke to our in-house obstetrician and uhmmm, I am sorry to inform you but your baby didn't survive." I whimper before I feel myself sob. "Your treatment will continue and we will keep you here for two days for observations before discharging you. I wiped my tears and held my head. "We will leave you to recover that's it for our questions." Shoupe days softly before leaving behind the doctor and the nurse. Before John B and JJ come in I pull the blanket and cover half my face. "Get what'd the doctor say?" JJ asked. "She told me I what injuries I had suffered and that I needed to be here for two more days for observations before they discharge me. "I am so glad you're safe." John B says touching his forehead with mine and then gives me a kiss on the forehead. "If you don't mind my head hurts a little. I'd like to take a nap." I tell them. "Absolutely." JJ says before kissing my forehead too. They both of them exit the room. I close my eyes as I feel my heart break.
