The Hughes Residence - Garage

Meg knew she couldn't come up with weak excuse when Paul mention Sid Roy's name. Paul was more smarten than that to believe Meg's reasoning so all she had to do was be honest. Meg took Paul's hand before the two of them were in another part of the backyard where no one could see them. She didn't want anyone else who's here for the event to hear everything, so Meg took her to a door leading to the Hughes garage.

Meg – Okay, were alone.

Paul – Something tells me I am in for one heck of an explanation but better where everyone isn't listening.

Meg – Well, you want to know about Sid Roy, right?

Paul – Hey...

Paul puts his hands on Meg's shoulders for comfort.

Paul – You can tell me anything, I won't say anything to anyone.

Meg – Not even Emily?

Paul – Nope, not even my own loudmouth of a wife who can't keep her mouth shut for long.

Meg sighed and nodded before explaining everything to her ex-husband, the father of her children in Paul Ryan.

Meg – The two of us met after I returned to D.C. for rehab treatment. Sid Roy was also someone who had the same issues for me, so the two of us bonded for a while when we were in rehab. Sid was adopted and taken care of growing up but never knew who his parents were.

Paul – So you and Sid met in rehab? What happened after that?

Meg – After a long time the two of us were discharged. Our stints were over, but we remained friends and in contact. One night though when I was on the way home from work at the local hospital, there was a car crash on the side of the rode, so I got out to help just in case.

Paul – Was Sid Roy involved in it?

Meg – Yes, he was, for the wrong reasons that is. Sid was badly injured but as I approached him, suddenly a group of guys who worked for Sid had their guns on me, demanding that Sid gets up or get killed.

Paul – So what did you do?

Meg – I helped him and made sure he was okay, but Sid wanted a billion dollars from me unless he blackmailed me for something on my past connected to you. No matter how hard I tried to ignore him Sid wouldn't stop, I just don't know what to do Paul.

Meg frantically hugs Paul who hugs her back and doesn't let go. Paul could see that she was afraid of Sid Roy and what he's capable of, but the last thing they wanted was for Eliza to get in the mix of this mess. If Sid ever went after Eliza, then Paul would have to finish Sid off for himself. Comforting her back with his hands, Emily, who was about to go into the garage saw Paul comforting Meg through the small window which didn't make her happy. After what happened with her mom and Tom, she wasn't in the mood for any more mess, so a frustrated Emily went somewhere else.

Kayden and Natalie continue making out in the room while outside Sage was reading the text messages that blew her mind. This wasn't good for her cousin who's with someone who wasn't keeping it real when it came to Kayden. It didn't make any kind of sense for Kayden to betray Sage like this to the point where he kept this from her, unless Kayden is waiting to dump her so that the other shoe can drop. Storming into the room, Kayden and Natalie stopped as they saw the look on Sage's face before the two of them got up.
