Static began once again on the radio near my sister. It had became normal to me, since it happened often.
A man started speaking on the radio, talking about an apocalypse.
"Since this apocalypse began nearly 48 hours ago." He started saying, we listened carefully to what he said next.
"Red ridge, thats only an hour away from here." Charlie said.
"Does that mean we can leave?"
"No." Michael spoke, "We're not going anywhere."
"What?" Charlie and I said at the same time.
"I don't know about you, white boy, but I gotta get the fuck out of here."
"No. I won't risk being on the move when the baby comes. It's to dangerous. Especially since the angels or whatever are after Talia now. And I won't let her get hurt."
"What? Why me?"
"Once they heard your scream, they know how powerful you are. And they can use that power."
I looked down and started re-thinking my life choices.

I heard a horn and my head shot up.
"Doesn't anyone else hear that?" I asked.
"No." They all said.
"Talia, only you can hear it. Only you and me." Michael spoke.
"It's starting." I said, "Their coming."

"He's coming to do what I didn't."
"You were the one that was supposed to kill the baby."
"That's the order you didn't obey."
"We need to go." Michael said, ignoring the words the man had said.
"Mom, give her the baby." I said.
"No, Talia."
"Mom! Give her the baby." I said, my voice raising. The ground started shaking.
Everyone looked at me as if I was crazy, the ground shaking even more.
