[The episode opens to Dolly, Darrow, and Pearl on the playground, swinging on the monkeybars. Darrow is holding Pearl up so she can reach the bars while Dolly is swinging from bar to bar. She turns her head to Darrow and asks a question.]
Dolly: Pop, am I better at the monkey bars than Pearl?
Darrow: Well, you are two years older than her, Dolly.
Dolly: Am I better than Nina?
Darrow: You're about the same as Nina.
Dolly: I'm not! Nina can't do skip-bar or backwards one bar. (*Dolly shows this by demonstrating both actions*)
Darrow: Well, she'll get there one day.
Dolly: But am I better than her on this day?
Darrow: Dolly, just run your own race.
Dolly: Huh? What does that mean?
Darrow: Come here.
[Darrow sets Pearl on the ground and walks to a nearby bench. Both Dolly and Pearl follow him and sit next to him, listening intently.]
Darrow: Have I told you the story of when you took your first steps?
Dolly: Oh, no!
Darrow: Well, it all started when you were still a baby.
[We then cut to the past, showing a baby version of Dolly. She is wearing a red nappy and is lying on the floor, drooling on the rug, making baby noises. She's also in her demon form, complete with her wings, tail, horns, red skin, and fangs. Lips is also here too, sleeping and drooling on the floor a few feet away. Darrow is sitting near Dolly, holding a baby rattle over her head to catch her attention.]
Darrow: Come on, Dolly! Roll over. Rollover!
[Baby Dolly stops drooling, hearing her pop from behind her, and rolls over on her back to see him.]
Darrow (present): You learned to roll over pretty early.
[The camera cuts to a first person view of Dolly, just as she settles on her back and sees Darrow. Darrow has a surprised face and then smiles.]
Darrow (past): Lips!!! She rolled over!! She rolled over!! (*At the yell, Lips snaps awake as Darrow reads through a baby book*) She's not meant to do that for ages!!
Lips: (*he leans over in front of Dolly's view*) Aw, that's my girl!
[Baby Dolly pushes Lips to the side before we shift to a third person view of her. She's seen laughing, her tail swishing to and fro. We then cut to the present, back to the bench, and Pearl looks confused.]
Pearl: Hang on, where was I?
Darrow: You weren't born yet, sweetheart.
Pearl: Ooh, I was invisible!
Dolly: Were you proud of me for rolling over so soon?
Darrow: Yes. A little too proud...
[The camera cuts to the inside of Jessica's house. Lips is seen dragging Baby Dolly to a changing mat to change her nappy on the ground, while Jessica and Darrow have some tea and chat. Most of the diaper changing is hidden behind a table.]
Darrow: (present) I think I may have turned into a bit of a show off.
Jessica: Oh, I've never heard of a baby rolling over that early!
Darrow (past): I know!
Jessica: She's just special.
Lips (past):(*As he opens the nappy, he coughs and gags at the smell*)
