Stanley POV:

After i basically killed myself multiple times, i did feel a bit better.
I was trying to take the route again, but it seems like the Narrator decided he had enough, since he closet off every edge you could possibly fall down.
And of course, the Broom closet wasn't available either.

Maybe i overreacted. But i couldn't help it. It didn't even hurt..

..Anymore

Can't the Narrator make me more of an idiot, so that I can't think for myself? This is pure torture.
But maybe that's what he wants.

Ugh, i just have the same thoughts over and over again! They aren't helping!

"When Stanley came to a set of two open doors, he entered the door on his left."

Doesn't he get tired of this?

He just says the same stuff over and over again.

Hm.. i guess.. maybe we have the same destiny?

Narrator POV:

"I'm sorry Stanley."

The Narrator said.

Or rather, he wanted to say.

He just couldn't.

Technically he could but he couldn't bring it over his lips. He meant it, he really did.

It's just.. not that easy to say.

Even when he talks a lot, some things are.. just different.

"Of course he goes through the other door..

I can't blame him."

Stanley POV:

I just wanted to sit down on the couch, maybe i can fall asleep, it will make me feel better. I miss showers.

I arrived at the employee lounge and lied down.

Just.. count to 100 or something.

At least the Narrator is keeping his mouth shut.

The Narrator..

No no no no no. I just want a few minutes without thinking of him.
He is already present enough. He is probably watching me right now and silently judging me.

Why should i care? This is the least embarrassing thing i have done.

It's still a bit unsettling.

"Stanley are you.. asleep?"

I am not answering. I am in my sleeping progress. I won't interrupt it now.

Narrator POV:

The Narrator indeed, watched Stanley sleep.

"This is just great.. what will I do now?"

The Narrator watched Stanley for a few minutes.

"I will probably regret this.."

He will.

The Narrator sneaked into the employee lounge and threw a blanked over the sleeping man.

He looks so peaceful.

"I.. I am.. I..am sorry, Stanley."

The Narrator stood there for another minute before leaving again.

What was i even thinking?

Why did i do this?

Pity?

No. I only pity myself.

Stanley POV:

What.. just happened..?

This must have been part of the trying to sleep progress.. right?

The Narrator didn't just..

It's impossible..

Stanley didn't know why, but it lifted his mood.

It felt like the Narrator actually cared about him for once.

Maybe it's because he thought the Narrator hated him, or the fact it was different from the routine, or because the Narrator was a real person, or the fact his standards dropped to the lowest point since getting here.

But as much as Stanley was touched by this simple action of caring, it made him have more questions. But before they all came to mind, Stanley thought one thing.

Thank you, Narrator.
