I was nothing today,
I'll be something tomorrow,
On the edge of hope I sway,
Tempted and tempted to fall to sorrow,
Be as it may,
I want your heart to borrow.
I want to change my fate,
I want to change my destiny by weaving its chord,
But I've been blind,
To the signs you send, lord.
I was nothing today,
I'll be nothing tomorrow,
Waiting on death's bay,
My life seems so narrow,
Be as it may,
I want your life to borrow.
So I can get a second chance,
For a life,
Worthy enough,
To be Something.
