I once borrowed God's ears and eyes,
And that was the day I realized .
I've been living in an illusion,
A society filled with chaos and confusion.

I've heard the screams of the daughters put to death,
And the whispers of the parents praying for their child's first breath.

I've seen the poor getting hungrier ,
And the rich getting greedier.

I've seen men hanging from ropes
Some a suicide, others a punishment

I've seen how mountains and trees get put down,
Faster than one can count.

I've heard the whining of the loyal dogs,
Which are trodden over, by the chariots of their masters.

I once borrowed God's ears and eyes,
Never again.
I promised.
