5 years earlier

Minho hurriedly went put the class trying to get away from the annoying stranger who was constantly trying to talk to him. Minho let his impulsive actions and bolted to a new route trying to outrun the other boy, "Oh come on, is that very necessary" Yun yells panting running after the boy

Minho couldn't help but chuckle at the others' struggle, but because the more he ran the less familiar the area felt, and got stopped at a dead end. Fuck!

Yun chuckled behind him trying to catch his breath, "Is it that bad I want to talk to you? Why do you make things so difficult?" He pants. Minho glared at him, "You don't know shit about me!" Minho hissed

"Oh yeah I know that your deadbeat father hasn't fixed your door in years and I caught you stealing money from his wallet!" Yun grins. Minho got quiet, "who are you again?" Minho asked confused

Yun put on a wide smile holding his hand out, "hi I'm Yun" He said. Minho was hesitant but shook his hand anyways, "Minho" he replied, "I know, does your dad know you steal money from him?"

Minho scoffed, "You'd think id be alive if he did?" He said half-jokingly

"Well, I have a better way of making money than stealing from that asshole and hearing how loud and aggressive he is. I think it's a better option. You don't have to agree right away. I can give you a free trial, I just need to do something for me" Yun smiles widely

Present

Minho safely made it to the campus and stopped by the snack machine to get changbins favorite snacks. He looked for something to put all the stuff in and saw an empty plastic bag on the side of the sidewalk in the grass.

Thank you for littering the stranger, he thought with a wide smile, shaking the bag a couple of times to make sure there was not a lot of dirt in or on it. He put all the snacks in. When he was satisfied he skipped his way to the campus.

He saw all his friends sitting at the stone table Minho snuck up behind them and rested his chin on Changbins shoulder. He giggled as he flinched and turned around to see Minho. "Hey, you made it!" Changbin said with a smile, patting Minho's back.

Minho nodded and handed Changbin the bag of snacks, "Snacks? For me?" Changbin asked with a smile. Minho smiled guiltily "Yeah, I know it doesn't make up for it but I'm sorry about last night. I got caught up in some stuff and lost track of time."

Changbin looked at him curiously, "What kind of stuff?"

Minho hesitated for a moment, unsure if he wanted to share what had happened, but then he decided to be honest with his friend. I don't want him to be disappointed in me but I can't lie to him he's my best friend. He just couldn't lie to Changbin. "I was feeling really down and stressed out, so I ended up getting high and passing out."

Changbin's expression turned slightly disappointed, but he tried to remain to understand. "Minho, you know that's not a healthy way to cope with your problems, right?"

Minho nodded, "I know, I'm sorry. I just didn't know what else to do."

Changbin put a hand on Minho's shoulder, "It's okay. Just promise me you'll talk to someone about what's been bothering you. I'm here for you too, you know."

Minho smiled gratefully, feeling a weight lifted off his shoulders. "Thanks, Changbin. I appreciate it."

They chatted for a while longer before parting ways to attend their classes, and Minho felt grateful to have a friend like Changbin who cared about him and was willing to listen.

Minho walked into his classroom, feeling a bit anxious as he took his seat. He was still thinking about the conversation he had with Changbin earlier and wasn't sure if he was ready to talk about it again. But as Jisung walked in and took the seat next to him, Minho couldn't help but feel a sense of relief. Thank god I didn't want a stranger sitting there.

"Hey, how's it going?" Jisung asked, a friendly smile on his face.

Minho grinned back. "Not bad, just trying to get through this class," he replied.

Jisung chuckled. "Yeah, same here. So, what's up with you? Saw you didn't make it to the party last night."

Minho's smile faltered a bit as he thought about what to say. He didn't want to tell Jisung the real reason why he didn't go, so he opted for an excuse. "Oh, I just wasn't feeling well. Had a bit of a stomach bug or something," he said, hoping it sounded convincing.

Jisung nodded, but Minho could tell he wasn't quite buying it. "Ah, that sucks. Hope you're feeling better now," he said sympathetically.

Minho felt a little bad about lying, but he didn't feel comfortable telling Jisung the real reason for his absence.

"Oh also, I saw you and Changbin talking earlier on my way to class, I saw you give something to him too. What was that about?" Jisung asked as they took notes.

"Ohh yeah we were just talking about the party, I felt bad for ditching on Changbin so I got him some snacks to make up for it and stop him from being pissed at me all day" Minho replied.

"Bribing Changbin with snacks for forgiveness? Nice" Jisung chuckled. Minho laughed in response, "You know that's the way to his heart"

They talked a bit more about their classes and how their days were going, and Minho found himself enjoying the conversation. Jisung was easy to talk to, and Minho didn't feel like he had to fake his interests or put on a facade as he did with some of his other friends.

While they talked, Minho couldn't help but think about how sweet Jisung was. He was always so friendly and genuine, and Minho appreciated that about him.

As the class went on, Minho found himself feeling more relaxed and at ease in Jisungs presence. Jisung scribbled down some notes and Minho watched him with a newfound appreciation. He realized that Jisung was the kind of person who just made things better. His presence was a comfort, and his kindness was a balm.

Finally, the class was over, and Minho and Jisung gathered their things to leave. As they walked out of the classroom together, Jisung turned to Minho.

"Hey, we should hang out sometime," he said, smiling.

Minho felt a sudden burst of excitement. He had never really hung out with Jisung outside of class before. Despite not knowing the guy for long he had a feeling it would be fun. "Yeah, definitely," he said. "Do you want to exchange numbers?"

Jisung grinned and pulled out his phone. They swapped numbers, making plans to get together and talk more.

"Don't forget to text me!" Jisung called from down the hallway. Minho smiled, "I won't!"

As he turned and made his way to his next class, he felt a sense of gratitude for Jisungs friendship. They hadn't been super close or anything, but he'd always been kind and Minho felt comfortable around him. He looked forward to hanging out with him more.
