The next morning Tsireya, me and Aonung get together before the lessons start.
"I think it's better if I do the breathing sessions, you do the swimming lessons and Aonung teaches the fingertalk" I say to Tsireya.
She nods with a smile, while Aonung just sighes.
"Do I really have to teach them stuff? I mean, what if they're bad at everything!"
"Yes Aonung, we know you suck at staying calm when things don't go as you've planned them to" I roll my eyes.
Tsireya looks at me with a face that says 'don't be so hard on him'.
She turns to him. "But me and Y/N are right there with you. So if you need us for anything, just ask"
Then, we hear the Sully's coming our way. We stand up and walk outside of our tent.
When they see us, they all great us. Tsireya and Aonung start walking towards the beach, while the Sully's follow them. Neteyam and I are in the back, now walking next to eachother.
"Good morning" He smiles.
"Good morning, you guys slept well?" I ask.
He nods.
"Why did you walk away on me yesterday?" He asks.
I am shocked by his comment. I turn my head away from him.
"I'm sorry, I just needed to do something.." I vaguely reply.
He looks a bit dissapointed.
Great, now I feel bad.
I know I can't avoid him forever, so I choose to have a conversation with him.
"I'm sorry I'm being so vague"
"It's okay, maybe one day you trust me enough to tell me what's really going on" He replies, while smiling again.
Right.. I don't know if that's ever gonna happen, but sure.
I smile back.
We arrive at the beach and Tsireya starts to explain the plan for today.
"Before I take you guys into the water, Y/N will teach you how to hold your breath longer. After that, Aonung will explain some of the fingertalk we use to communicate underwater. Is everyone ready?" She excitedly asks.
Everyone nods and I take that as a que to start their first lesson.
"Okay, let's all sit in a circle" I say.
We all sit down and I start to explain again. "First, I want you to take a deep breath. Try to calm down your heart rate"
I see that they're all trying their best to do so. Lo'ak is struggling though. I can hear his heart beat from here, eventhough I'm not sitting next to him.
Another plus on being a lion: my hearing is much better then the hearing of a normal being.
I sign to Tsireya that she should check up on him. I do the same with Neteyam, who is also struggling a bit.
"Is this okay?" I ask, while putting one of my hands on his stomach and the other one on his chest.
He nods.
"Okay, take a deep breath again and calm down your heart rate"
He closes his eyes and does so. His heart doesn't calm down at all.
"You really need to calm down, Neteyam. Otherwise it won't work" I say lowly, trying to focus.
But then, I see him grinning. "That's easy for you to say. You're not the one who's being touched by someone cute"
