An enemy can sometimes feel like a true companion, someone with whom you can be your most authentic self. For Lian Xiu, the exhilaration of facing off against Sun Wukong was unmatched.

Driven by the relentless urge of her dual blades, she lunged at the simian with a primal bloodlust, matching his every move with unimaginable speed. It was as if the blades themselves had taken on a life of their own, mirroring the prowess of her adversary. With each strike, she felt a sinful desire coursing through her veins, an insatiable craving to tear him apart.

Sun Wukong, equally thrilled to reunite with Lian Xiu after his arduous journey, eagerly sparred with her once more, relishing the challenge they had both promised each other. As they clashed, his eyes lit up with excitement, his movements fluid and graceful, a testament to his legendary skill.

Beneath the harsh glare of the sun, Lian Xiu and Sun Wukong continued their fierce duel, their movements so powerful that they seemed to upend the very landscape around them. Despite the growing strain on her limbs, Lian Xiu matched Wukong's force and might, finding joy in the challenge even amidst the pain.

With her arm tightly wrapped in fabric, she gritted her teeth and maintained her grip on her blades, following Wukong's lead in their relentless exchange of blows. "Seems like you're out of breath, foolish ape. Ready to concede defeat?" she taunted, meeting his strength with her own unwavering determination.

Wukong's laughter echoed through the air as he leaped into the air, enlarging his cudgel into a massive pillar aimed at her. "I'm just getting started!" he declared. With lightning reflexes, Lian Xiu dodged the attack, the exhilaration of the battle only intensifying with each passing moment.

As the dust settled and Lian Xiu coughed it away, she braced herself for another onslaught from Sun Wukong. However, when the smoke cleared, she found him standing before her with a serious expression, causing her to raise a brow in curiosity.

"Where did you get those weapons?" he inquired, catching her off guard.

Lian Xiu chuckled and brandished the blades like a prop. "If you must know, these weapons have been in my clan's possession as a family heirloom. As the successor of my family, I finally have the chance to rid the world of demonic threats like you."

"I didn't inquire about your origin story; I asked where you obtained it," he said with furrowed brows, resting his cudgel casually on his shoulder.

His inquiry took on a mocking tone as he persisted in trying to extract an answer from her, but she merely shrugged him off. "Ah, my apologies. I must have misunderstood your interest in the tale of my illustrious blade acquisition," she quipped, a hint of amusement dancing in her eyes. "But if you're truly insistent on knowing, let's just say my great ancestors stumbled upon them in a stroke of luck. Now, if you're done with your interrogation, shall we resume our little dance?"

The simian scoffed, shaking his head in disbelief. His sudden interest in her origins seemed out of character, especially considering their roles as hunter and hunted.

Wukong sighed, conceding, "Alright, let's forget I even asked." With that, they resumed their intense clash of blades against cudgel.

The battle raged on for no more than a day and a half, leaving Lian Xiu far more drained than her adversary. While her mortality explained her fatigue, Wukong couldn't help but grow cautious, sensing a shift in the demon huntress's demeanor as she seemed to descend into a frenzied state.
