And just like that, Taehyung turned 16. His parents wanted to throw him a party, but he refused to have one. Instead, they settled for a simple cake and lunch out. Even though he loved being with his family on his birthday, all Taehyung could focus on this day was asking Yoongi to be his official boyfriend, and he kept on worrying and anticipating Yoongi's reaction to it. Namjoon made up an excuse of taking him and Jungkook out for a movie and dinner to help him with their parents

Namjoon and Jungkook finally found peace. They never mentioned the topic of their mutual crush again, but they were back to normal like before. which made both of them, especially Namjoon, extremely happy. Even though he had a hard time waiting for Jungkook's final decision, he was still happy about how they were on speaking terms once again.
"So, be back before the curfew," Minah said, kissing the birthday boy's forehead.
"Mom, please, it's my birthday. Can't we get a bit of an extension..please?Dad..."  Tae pouted and begged
."Taetae.."  Minah started to talk, but Joon spoke before she could refuse."Please, mom, it's the big birthday! I'm with him, don't worry."
Minah looked at Haneyol, and after thinking for a few seconds, she replied,
"Hmm, ok.Be safe.  And call me if anything happens..not too late, ok?"
"We will, mom." Joon nodded happily.
"Thanks, mom," Tae jumped and trapped both of his parents in a bear hug.
They said their goodbyes and went outside quickly."Isn't he a little bit too excited for a movie?" Chaneyol asked
"There's probably a boy joining them; you think all this begging was for going out with Joon and Kookie?" Minah scoffed.
" Boy!!  What boy?!"  Chaneyol asked with big eyes.
"I don't know. It's my guess..You should really learn to understand your children better, honey." She shook her head in disappointment and left a very confused Haneyol alone in the living room.

Namjoon drove them a couple of blocks, where Yoongi was waiting for them. Taes' face lit up like a Christmas tree once he saw Yoongi. He wore a simple white t-shirt and black jeans with boots and a fancy leather jacket. His hair was styled, and he even had some jewellery on, especially the earrings on all his piercings. Tae gulped down, enjoying his "kind of boyfriend's" visual; he was about to run and hug Yoongi, but he retreated suddenly, remembering Joon was present there.Joon suppressed his laugh upon seeing Taehyung's actions.

"Go ahead, idiot."Tae looked at him, biting his lips.
"I'm not stupid to think that you haven't touched or kissed before; in fact, I know you have kissed and probably will be doing more today..so please don't act all innocent...you are far from it..go!" He shoved Tae towards Yoongi. He smiled sheepishly and walked forward towards the car.

"Hi..." Tae greeted Yoongi and gave him a quick hug. He blushed a little, knowing how Kookie and Namjoon were looking at them."So, you know how to blush," Yoongi teased.He shoved Yoongi slightly, grabbed the small gift box Yoongi was carrying, and put it inside his pocket.

"don't want to know what's inside."
He shook his head, saying no."I am more excited about something else."
Yoongi furrowed his eyebrows and said, "What's it you have planned in your pretty little head? Hmm!" He ruffled his hair.Tae just smiled, biting his lips; Yoongi smiled and shook his head."I'll drop him back near the cafe, is that ok?" Yoongi asked Joon, while Taehyung dragged Jungkook towards him, whispering something to each other
."I can't believe I am being the wingman for my little brother and my best friend." Joon said he was leaning on the car.
"Well, it's not all bad, right?" Yoongi smirked, looking at Jungkook, who was talking to Tae. Namjoon rolled his eyes and told him to shut up.

After a while, Yoongi and Tae left for their date, and Jungkook and Namjoon were left alone."So we should find something to do for a few hours." Joon said
"Yeah..but what?"
"Hmmmm..to be honest, I didn't think it through while I made up this plan.. Let's just drive to the city and figure it out, or do you have any ideas?"
He shook his head."Then let's go."
They drove to the city and walked around aimlessly for a while before getting ice cream from a small shop. Namjoon got a chocolate waffle cone, while Jungkook went for a three-scoop meal of different flavours and lots of toppings. They both sat on a corner table that had a view of the road. As soon as the sugar hit his mouth, he moaned a little and frowned.
"That good?!" Namjoon asked, loving how the younger made an angry face every time he loved the food.
"This is so good. ", he said, frowning more dramatically.A bit of his ice cream was smeared on his chin, which Namjoon wiped off with his hands, on instinct, making Jungkook blush in 50 shades of red. But he hides it by shoving his face with more of the ice cream.
"I'm glad we are talking again." Namjoon said  Jungkook looked up at him gulping down.
"Me too, Hyung." He smiled
Namjoon took a deep breath "Where do you want to go next?"
"Your choice," Jungkook shrugged.
"So I wanted to go to a book store. Will you be okay? If it's boring, we can do something else."
Jungkook thought for a moment, "It's ok..actually, can you recommend me some books to read?"
"Really!?"   Namjoon's face lit up.
Jungkook nodded enthusiastically

Inside the book store

"Wohhh... there are so many, how do you select one?!" Jungkook looked around at the large book store full of books and wondered
Namjoon was amused seeing the younger's shocked face. "So, what do you like?"
Jungkook shrugged
"Do you like stories..fictional..fantasy..romance..or adventure.. reding about famous people or .."  Namjoon began giving him options.
"Fantasy... I like that idea." Jungkook said
"Oh, then there are tones of options.."
Namjoon guided him to an isle and started skimming through it. He showed Jungkook some famous books and explained whatever he knew about those books to him. Even though Jungkook genuinely wanted to try his hand at reading, now the only thing that was in his mind was how hot Namjoon looked while he was talking about something he likes.He was liking the time alone they got together on Taehyung's expense.

"Is that you, Kim Namjoon?" A female voice put an end to Jungkook's thoughts.They both turned to see a beautiful, petite girl wearing a short floral dress and carrying a bunch of books in her hands.Namjoon smiled wide with big eyes as soon as he saw her."Oh my god, Eugene!"
He walked forward, placing the book he was holding in Jungkook's hands.
"After so many years," she came forward and hugged Namjoon tightly.Jungkook watched them in shock, not understanding who was the person interrupting their 'personal time' or why the hell she was hugging him like that.
"How are you?" Namjoon asked, not fully breaking the hug.
"I'm good. Someone told me you are back in town." She smiled and tucked her long brown hair behind her ears
."Yeah, it's been a while, and I heard your dad got transferred to another city. "Are you back now?!"
"Oh no..just visiting family..I'll go back in a few days, but dad might come back to the office here..so we may get to finish high school together." She said squeezing Joon's arms while Jungkook was giving her death glares which went unnoticed by both Joon and Eugene
"That's great to hear.." he smiled
She smiled back. "And look at you, still living and breathing books."
Namjoon blushed a bit, smiling
"And fantasy..wow!!!It's certainly new. Do we finally have some similar interest in books?" she asked playfully.
"Oh no..I still can't do fantasy..it's for Jungkook."
"Oh, now you remember that I exist," Jungkook thought.

She suddenly looked in the jungshooked Jungkook's direction."Oh, who is this?I thought it was Taehyung at first."
"No..ahh this..he is Jungkook..he is.." Namjoon struggled.
"His friend," Jungkook answered.
"Oh..." She looked at him suspiciously. But she shrugged it off soon."Anyway, we need to exchange numbers."
"Yeah, sure," they gave each other their numbers while Jungkook pretended to go through a random book, while his eyes and ears were fully on the elder and his long-lost friend.
"So I have to go to now, but I'll call you Namjoon. If I get time, we can hang out before I return."
"Sure.."he smiled . She waved them both goodbye, which Jungkook ignored. As she was out of sight, Namjoon turned back to Jungkook."So you like something ? "
"No, I don't like fantasy ..it is stupid," Jungkook walked away with an angry pout,making Namjoon confused.
