I sat in my room.

Somebody knocked on the door.

Gale entered.

In a gray uniform, he faced me.

Gale folded his hands at his waist.

"President Coin asked for you."

"You never came to see me. Or Prim."

He averted his gaze.

"I wanted to, but..."

"Was it ours?" I questioned.

"The bomb. The delayed explosion. The trap. To draw more people in." I pointed out.

"Was that you?" I demanded an answer.

Gale swallowed hard.

"I don't know. All I know is that I was supposed to take care of your family."

He held back tears.

"Now, I'm sorry I couldn't."

I stared down.

My face had an impassive expression on it.

"You can't protect anyone in an Arena."

My eyes lifted to Gale with a dull look.

He bowed his head.

I stared coldly.

"Goodbye, Gale."

Gale lifted his tearful gaze.

He turned to the door.

Gale left.
