I woke up with a bowl of miso soup, an omelet, and some rice with grilled fish placed on the table next to me.

"Hajime, good morning." A gentle voice spoke up.

Chiaki.

She glanced at me and smiled.

Her eyes were pale pink, and awake her cheeks were rosy.

I felt something heavy on my legs.

I looked to see Nagito napping on my lap like a dog.

"Nagito! Be careful!" I warned him.

He smiled and yawned.

"I'll be okay," he said. "Lady Luck is on my side."

He sat up and moved closer to me. He grabbed the soup and started to... feed me?

"I can feed myself," I said.

He shook his head.

"Allow me, Hinata," he smiled.

I chose to comply with him.

His eyes appeared heavy like he was still exhausted.

"You should slee-" I was cut off by him putting more soup into my mouth.

What is it with everyone cutting me off?!

Once he fed me soup, he offered me the omelet, and I shook my head.

He nodded and sat down, resting his head on my chest and his arms around my waist.

Then, a girl with large ponytails came in.

Nagito and Chiaki looked terrified.

She had baby blue eyes, and her hair glowed.

"Hello, Izuru!" the girl grinned.

"I'm not Izuru. He's not here" I said

She pouted a bit and shoved Nagito off my bed.

She sat on me and dug her claws into my cheeks.

She had the same nails as Nagito.

"Get away from him!" Nagito yelled.

He was filled with anger. I could see it in his eyes.

"Don't make me pierce you through your gut again" she smiled.

"Don't threaten him," I protested.

She dug her nails deeper into me. Forced me to look at her, then jerked my head to the side and left.

"Who was that?" I asked

"That was Junko Enoshima," Nagito growled

Junko... Enoshima...

Why did I remember her name? I know what she did, but why was it her?

A few days later, Nagito, Chiaki, and I got better, or so I thought.

I had to walk around with a cane now and then. I've been seeing Izuru more often, and Junko has been nowhere in sight.

I reconnected with all my classmates, some understanding of how I lost my memories.

I want to remember. I want to remember who I truly am. Maybe when I do, I can get rid of this hope and despair crap.

"Good Morning" Teruteru smiled.

I stared down at him. Honestly, how the fuck can someone be as short as him at twenty-two? Hiyoko was short, but she grew a bit.

"Good Morning" I responded.
